The Yellowbellies still haven't mathematically qualified for the play-offs, as they are technically catchable by Treaty, but it would take an extraordinary concatenation of circumstances to deprive them of action after the regular season concludes. As such, they will be motivated to put down a marker, and continue the momentum generated in recent weeks. As for Kerry, only three more chances remain to add to their win column, and perhaps most frustratingly, there have been eight occasions since the mid-season break where the scores have been level at the break, but only two points have been added in the circumstances. Next Friday's attendance could be a concern, given of the 700 at the Galway game, almost half of those were celebrating the away team's title win.

The loss to Finn Harps was a disappointing repetition of previous mistakes. No positive momentum of results have come along. There's been a bit of waiting for things to happen than making things happen. I was hoping Wexford would have the luxury of resting players. As they need to seal a playoff spot, they'll be seeing tonight as a good opportunity. Kerry's defence is unpredictable. If they defend well and we take our chances, we can get a positive result. Any repeat of defensive mistakes, it'll be a disappointing night.

Another soft concession of a winner from a set piece. The story of the season.
