Media, Marketing and Money football seminar
eircom League clubs will learn the secrets of the ‘3Ms’ at a Media, Marketing and Money seminar being held in the National College of Ireland, IFSC in Dublin next Wednesday (August 31st), commencing at 9.30am.
The half-day event brings together some of the leading practitioners in the fields of sports marketing, media and finance including Leeds University sports finance Professor Bill Gerrard, Bord nag Con chairman Pascal Taggart and sponsorship expert John Trainor.

Great idea!! More of this sort of thing is needed badly if the eircom league is to progress...

Yeah great, apart from the fact that is starts at 9:30 in the morning. Good luck getting to that if you are travelling from the other side of the country. You wouldn't mind as much, but they even say it is only scheduled for a half day, so it's not as if it couldn't be pushed back to a later start.
Anyone else on here involved with that sort of stuff with their club going to that as well ?

It's not an ideal staRting time, but regardless - this type of event is something that our clubs should be breaking their necks to get to. The information to be gleaned should be more than worth the E100 for a night in Jury's - especially the Bord na gCon stuff.
I would hope that every single club will be clambering to send people to this. But I suspect a good 25% odd of our clubs won't be represented (and I'll even punt that at least one of the clubs from within the Pale won't show). :o
Who's organising this, by the way ? Is it the FAI ?
