Just wondering what people think of the various league websites, any good ones, any ones that should be put out of their misery. What's good about your leagues site, what's not so hot.

(I suppose you could call it market research, as i currently run a number of league websites, and am interested to see public perception.)

Just saw your post now. The UCFL one was decent enough last year, but has been a seething pot of unctious bile this year!!!!

It just needs to be updated basically.

None

Bit of a joke really..... What claims to be the biggest and best junior lg in Ireland and the most info on it is on foot... Not even lg tables to be seen on a2z....

I was considering approaching the LDMC and seeing if they were interested in setting up a website.

I would set it up and update it as long as they paid for the hosting and domain name and provided me with all the results, match reports etc.

But I'd say that might upset their relationship with the Limerick Leader.

Good idea...

If you were to set up tables on www.a2zsoccer.com you could post results and tables for free... At least that would be a start. Most of the results filter through this website anyway so its easy to keep up to date with them.

There was some talk of this a few weeks ago but nothing came of it.

Here's the details again to set it up.

Is the Limerick Junior League a not-for-profit organisation? (I mean a true not-for-profit now, not one that pays it's managers silly money.)

I'll let that one slide, but no more incidental marketing please Breifne.

Is someone going to collate all of these with proper titles for a sticky thread?

No, it's a true silly money game that goes a few leagues down.

Hi all, I started building a website for my club last year. I'd had one for years just entering the results and fixtures by hand using html tables. Painfull stuff. So I started building a new one. The way this one works is that I can create accounts for people who can then enter new fixtures, results, reports, notices, clubs, teams, register members, archives blah blah etc. My point is that its not just limited to my own club, it'll keep track of all the divisions/fix/results which I've been trying to do for Waterford Disrict League. Ideally I'd hope that the league themselves might be interested in it someday but in the meantime have a look, www.piltownafc.com. Oh and if anything looks off the site is still being developed!!

*******Care to explain that comment FahyForever? This comment, and this (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?p=383260#post383260), are not acceptable fare for Foot.ie, so unless you have some kind of excuse for your behaviour, I'm going to go ahead and ban you at the end of the day.

Not sure if The PM I tried to send you got through, so will include it here.

Deleted the other message since it was deemedunsuitable. The one on this page was supposed to be added to that one. Not fully sure how I managed to put in both in the wrong place and a dodgy context! I agree that it was petty and stupid. Wont happen again (one way or the other!). Would appreciate a chance to continue on the forum. Apologies, Fahyforever.
