Should Willie Bruton start ahead of John O'Flynn ??

To be fair .... we have carried the guy for a long while, might be an idea to start scoring goals now !?!?

7 goals in 20 odd league games is not enough from John as 3 came at UCD.

I don't think thursday game is the one to make the change though but think Behan or Bruton could start in the FAI Cup.

O'Flynn is playing for a new contract as i can't see other clubs queueing up for him on this form.

He needs to get shots on target to have any hope of scoring. He took good positions in Derry but his shooting was not acceptable.

Are you honestly saying Bohs, Derry and Drogs wont try and get him? Especially if Foley is leaving Bohs they will need a replacemant

Would start Behan as he was in great form before getting injured (in setting up a goal!). Bruton should be subbed on a few more times before he starts IMO. Tis time to give Johny a rest though :o

Willie Bruton or Denis Behan couldn't be any worse that O'Flynn is at the moment.

John O'Flynn had seven chances last frifay against Derry. While not all were clear cut, a couple of seasons ago he would have buriied two if not three of them. He's lost his confidence and is afraid to be tackled this year and someone else needs to given a run instead.

Well either way its definatley one area that needs to be considerably strenghtened at the end of the season

Well if it is a lack of confidence he is suffering from the last thing to do is drop him

How many games does he need? He has been playing consistently now for the last few months without providing the kind of return needed. As mentioned earlier, you can only carry a player for so long.

Its such a tough call and i said somewhere else that this is where Damien Richardson faces his big real test. When Flynn came here he was beyond the ability required to be a success in this league. Were it not for injuries he would be playing back in England and flourishing. I dont think Richarson will drop him because he was the one getting chances against Derry. But Good God Veronica he needs a goal soon. Anyone notice that his celebrations of City goals have become muted. I dont think this is because he dosent care moreso he is not enjoying it so much at the moment. One cracker could change everything. The goal he scored in the 3-0 against Drogheda at the Cross a while back was the best goal i have ever witnessed.

Since the UCD hattrick O'Flynn has scored 2 goals in 11 games.

Fenn may not be prolific but hes scored 4 goals in same period.

In fairness to john he did create a lot of those chances against derry himself and Forde made 2 good saves to deny him in the first half

All he needs is 1 goal to set him on his way again, ive a feeling that with the extra space he should get on thursday against djurgarden that he might sneek 1,last year him and fenn had a great understanding in the european games, remember the goal in nantes?

I'm a big fan of Flynny's and I think he will come good sooner or later. But he's not doing it right now, and I think Behan deserves a chance. His goalscoring ratio is probably better than Flynny's this season as well.

I'm a big fan of Flynnie's too, but how long can we continue to wait for him to "turn it on again"?

I would say that we need to score at least goal in each of our 11 remaining games. If Flynnie was on form, I would expect that he would easily contribute 5 or 6 of those 11 goals. At the moment, can we afford to just hope that this will happen?
