Watergrasshill won 3 nil with 3 shots on goal , never quite seen a team like them.
They play no ball , they just lump it an run an it works for them fair dues.
As bad as Grattan were, ref was worse .
Hope Watergrasshill push on now.
What's yer predictions for final of aoh lads

Have to agree with you . Grattan were awful but Duffy is horrendous . For me the worst ref in the aul in all my time involved. Seems to enjoy pi$$ing players off

I personally think he’s the worst official in the league. Refs are hard to come by don’t get me wrong but there comes a point where you can’t make excuses for a fella. Wasn’t at the game with work but iv seen enough of him over the past few seasons.

Few weeks back Aul official was going to a game he told me cause Duffy would upset players for decisions he make so they ever know it he should be just giving 3rd division games at best Mark o Connell done knocka game today best in league

All the same the mighty gratts have scraped by aul 3 rathcormac this week and been knocked out by watergrasshill today.
The fact watergrasshill have a hurling match tonight makes it all the stranger!
Some result for knocka..they have hammered 2 teams in the cup in past week and lost in league during the week...football is a funny ol game!

Knocka were good today alright but that was a weak Los Zarcos team today. As said above Mark O’Connell is head and shoulders above every other ref in the league, class act.

Will Village make them suffer more? The mighty Gratts have take a heavy fall this week.

Said a few posts back that it would be too big an ask to win the treble.
Grattan missing Harris, Bullman and Hawkins an looked a bit leggy today.
Played all the ball but just had an off day. It happens . The Hill took ull advantage.
Grattans 1st loss in 90 mins in any competition this season was today so I'm not overly worried. That's some going in fairness.
Village in the league . Home League.
Wanderers Away. League.
Village away in he Mossie.
Be an interesting 2 weeks.

I for one don’t need to be updated weekly on his behaviour. He is a good junior player who I believe is suspended now. Nothing more to say about it .

Wanted to see the Village game an then the Watergrasshill v Grattan game as its next to Villages place .
Knocknaheeny game would be of been no interest to me . One season wonders an self prolamed pretentestiousness compared to clubs who are hard working and there for the long hall.
In fairness the merries are down Monaghan road if I want to see things that are here today and gone tomorrow.

Bourne, you should leave off slating the refs and do something in football instead. Go join Grattan full time instead of watching in.

I missed first 10mins of the Grattan game got the rest, Duffy is by far one of the worst i came accross but he didnt do Grattan at all far from it. Every foul that was given against them they were shouting and roaring from the line and their players. Grattan are a great side but that pitch doesnt suit them maybe good tactics by Watergrasshill but they're not all that either Coachford will spank them. One thing i like about Watergrasshill is their discipline they get on with every call they were robbed of a few dodgey offside decisions in the first half but got on with it and maybe it's the GAA they get that from. but i think UCC and Coachford if they avoid eachother would make a great final.

That Duffy is 2nd worst in my opinion to Paul but both brutal , heard when he reffed cathedral and greenwood the ball hit the side netting so it went out and bounced off fence and it came back greenwood player picked up ball threw it to keeper for goal kick Duffy blew for penalty and was giving it until Robbie cun from cathedral said it wasn’t

Well well a few interesting results over the weekend.. Rathcormac trounced 5-1 today in Presidents cup semi after nearly pulling off shock of the season during the week mental, great to see games getting momentum and played now more funny results coming our way over the next few weeks one would imagine. Village having a fine year

While we’re on the subject, I think a few refs in the AUL have grudges against certain teams for whatever reason wether it be abuse or whatever, maybe some deservedly so, with Duffy I don’t see him as being biased, he seems to make terrible calls both ways, I just don’t know what game he sees sometimes, they way he speaks to players when they complain doesn’t help his reputation, think o Sullivan is a good reff but can seriously hold grudges when given lip, particularly to a few north side teams, hennessey last year I felt was a disgrace, not a personal knock on the man but he genuinely didn’t look like he was fit enough to keep up with the game, would blow for offside in games where a fella could be 5 yards inside because he didn’t want to run, Think Tony Thompson is a credit, regardless off his decisions the way he manèges players and handles backchat is to be commended, probably comes with experience, Alan Belmajoub( dodgy spelling) last year was exceptional when I seen him, be surprised if he doesn’t end up MSL premier, Alan mcdonagh is fine, Richard Gorman is fine, I think the referees manners on the pitch can make or break a game especially in competitive close games, which I think Duffy and Paul lack, truth be told we’re lucky to have any of them because it’s not a gig I personally could handle with some of the bull you have to listen to from lines, I’d be sent off myself if I was a reff

Village seem to be cup specialists, have deep runs in cups every year regardless of league form, the year they win the AOh I believe they were due to be relegated only for teams folding, from what I’ve been told Dunlea trains them like animals, it shows when they play, those lads would run for days
GerCork
22/04/2024, 11:42 AM
Credit to village but i do think the AOH draw was very kind to them. Banteer, Grangevale & Greenwood are all games they should be winning and did so fair play. The rest of the prem big hitters are the other side of the draw. I still think they should be higher up in the league after some close losses this season
Harsh ref
22/04/2024, 1:27 PM
Totally agree with you Ger spot on know disrespect to Village or knocka but they got away lightly with draw I know you can only beat what’s in front of you but to avoid Ucc Grattan watergrasshill and coachford on the way to semi is a major plus for both clubs still think both clubs in the mix for relegation aswel. Looking at tables think that should be their bread and butter but fair play semi anything can happen

22/04/2024, 4:14 PM
I’d say village are safe enough, Glenthorn are 100% gone and either city or Corkbeg will be the other, I’d fancy Corkbeg to stay up if I’m being honest, I don’t know the games played off the top of my head so I might be wrong on that if city and Corkbeg have games in hand
Harsh ref
22/04/2024, 4:23 PM
They probably will survive Ball hope they do like a lot of them lads honest players up in village but mad at times but you need that aswel haha I think fixtures have gone strange this year View win league without playing cathedral who could of won league up to last week Grattan still have to play village twice and play Glenthorn twice who or relegated few back to back fixtures that went ahead this season that were strange View last two games or against Cathedral aswel
