Still no sections up madness!
I see Killreen have no team in the MSL, interesting to see if they end up back AUL or have no adult team.

Few MSL premier teams sniffing around Watergrashill CF and CB.
Be interesting to see if they can keep their team together
what clubs are after them?

When Blarney st came back last season everyone was saying the same thing they are about knocka and look what happened there. Same thing with knocka, as soon as there’s a mini crisis they’ll fall apart. Anyone know if greenmount have a team this year?

Cobh & Midleton from what I hear think GAA will have a bearing on things while Imokilly are still in the SHC.

If your a Senior league head you'd know both of those clubs are leaking players an staff big time and the desperation claw is reaching out ........
I'm hearing that it's a MSL club a lot nearer are picking the bones of Watergrasshill
With regards to the inflated egos bloating the airwaves with who's going to doin what.
I think the best reference was to the Blarney Street thing,,,,, done in the best intentions,,,,,ended in flames.......only time will tell.

What has happened glenthorn? I remember the first season back after Covid everybody was fancying them to win the lot because of the squad they had. They look like they’ll struggle again this year
anybody know the story there?

That’s the best they could with the leagues really isn’t it? Hopefully will be competitive in all leagues.

If knocka folded from premier they should be put back in the premier. Absolute joke of a decision
How in God's name have Knocknaheeny been put Premier A. I don't care how good a side they have, they should have to pay their dues down the divisions.
Martin C and Tom F are killing the AUL. 20 years ago we'd over 100 teams and now we've 41. Disgraceful. It's run all wrong. The business league allowed young guys with fresh ideas run the show and it's thriving now. The standard is still poor but the organisation is much better than the AUL.
Social media presence is huge and the AUL don't even have a website.

They signed a great player in Jack Lenord and the 2 lads from Mallow would get into any side, so don't think it's a repeat of Blarney St. There was a lot of older lads with Blarney St. Going be interesting to see if they will compete for the AOH again?

You need to think of what they have won. They dominated the AUL for years. Bit of respect!!! And it would ruin the leagues below. Not nice be beaten 5/6 nil every game. I think the AUL dealt with it well.

To be fair the Knocka issue is a difficult problem for the AUL.
The have to get a relegation you can’t come and go as you please with out some sort of punishment.
Then there is the issue of them being in a division that they are competitive in anything lower than Premier A and they would be strong favourites maybe Watergrasshill would be stronger in the 1st but would be well stronger than most.
As for the AUL themselves I’ve said before they have problems but they are trying to change Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Clubs must strive to be better themselves it’s easy to complain but the most important thing for any club is your own house is in order.
The FAI are try to push the sports capital big time this time round be interesting to see will many clubs get involved.

Business League have grown to 3 divisions and MJL 5.
Not a good sign.
Let's pray for good football and better managed fixtures.

A this rate the MJL is the one that will only grow they have clubs with the real potential to have multiple teams.
The Aul has some potential to increase numbers but as seen this year a lot of B teams are gone.
Fair play to shipping league for getting an extra division but it will be interesting see have they increased numbers or is it just a re shuffle to make the whole thing more competitive across the board

Business League have added 5 I've heard.
Last year an MSL team approached AUL to put in a Junior team and no reply. No chance of growth with that carty on.
Nearly time for the start of a new season! Anyone fancy predicting the leagues and The big cups?
Prem: UCC
Prem A: Cathedral Celtic
Div 1: Watergrasshill
Div 2: Grattan B
Div 3: Rathcormac
Mossie: Springfield
Henry Healy: Castleview
AOH: Cathedral Celtic
Now these are based on the rumour mill. Hearing Coachford have lost loads due to new management. Grattan screwed cos of Knocka. Watergrasshill kept that lad Desmond. Cathedral signed Bobbi Donoghue, Skilly from village and Graham Kelly from Avondale.

Hard to see knocka not winning anything if they stick together. I think Boher will have a good crack at divison 3. Division 1 and 2 could be interesting, you wouldn’t know what the likes of Richmond, hibs, etc… will be like under new management. You would imagine if watergrasshill have the team they finished last season with they will clean house.

Knocka have alot goal scorers ment ta signed good center half ta slot in with Jason Higgins who knows the game well but hope there's no mess ups from him in the back round ? the have Chris akebi in center field surly get into any senior side think the have alot young fellas so the should be up there ..y isn't there any mention of coachford !!are the gone hiding again because knocka are back ..Richmond and hibbs the would be just pretty much same as every year !!watergrasshill arnt the underdogs anymore so the have alot ta prove thus year the should really be still in and on top the league by Xmas think there be alot surprises !!the aul only have few good team threw out the whole leagues let's see who stands out
I'll change my Cathedral predictions, watched them get hammered by The Cow yesterday?
Anyone any predictions of top goal scorers

Cathedral will be very strong but lost their good goalkeeper, get a handy replacement and you'd fancy them to do very well. Knocka will be good for sure. Castleview will be dangerous but won't be up cnear the other two teams.
Word around is that Coachford won't be as strong and if that's the case then it's open season. Will Grattan go for it again and be up there after Knocka lads left? UCC could be dark horses again like metnioned above depending if the college don't move on their stronger players to senior. They are back so should be starting games and we can see. Reading in Echo last week that Springfield strengthened.
Predictions but very tough to call :
Springfield
Cathedral
Watergrasshill
Grattan B
Boher

Premier A - 1st: Knocknaheeny 2nd: Cathedral Relegated: Waterloo & Donoughmore
Division 1 - 1st: Watergrasshill 2nd: Shandon Relegated: Rathcoole & Blackpool
Division 2 - 1st: Boscos 2nd: Los Zarcos Relegated: Imogeela & Rylane
Division 3 - 1st: Boher 2nd: Rathcormac

Some bar team? ? doolans cow you mean. Will grattan be under pressure to field an an and b team if a lot of their lads gone to grattan? The northside really don’t help themselves with all these teams collapsing and reforming and players moving around like that.

Glenthorn playing The cow at home tomorrow night, might shed a bit of context on the cathedral game, Glenthorn being one of the weaker premier sides should have a similar result if not worse if Cathedral are all they’re cracked up to be

Cathedral had a fantastic pre season beating good opposition from the buisness league and MJL but I suppose one bad result against a 2 time Quad winning “pub team” and we just write there whole season off. No doubt they know what they are capable of. Ye could be right and they could have had a lucky season last year and a few lucky games in pre season this year but it’s comical how no body takes anything into consideration and it’s straight to cutting there heads off. Enjoy the football lads it’s not that complicated

Glenthorn have recruited well they won’t be as bad as people believe, grattan and coachford will be the same. Springfield will be strong so will Knocka and Cathedral but I wouldn’t write off Banteer either. Were flying last year and just seemed to implode, the B team is gone now so the As will be stronger.
