Sorry to see Thomas Mcauley go..nice player..sad to see the chairman force another player to exit..at present we need all the bodies we can get, on and off the pitch.
I would like to wish all the players that were let go all the best for the upcoming season in junior football..and I hope to see them back in limerick colours in the not too distant future.
Lets hope if one of our players happens to make a mistake on Fri night, that Danny Drew does not have a repeat performance of his disgraceful behaviour that was witnessed against poor Thomas Mcauley two weeks ago..
good bet ...Robbie to score a hatrick against the Dubs !!!!

Here here! That treatment of McCauley was way over the top, the chairman, IMO, should stick to his job and let the manager do his, irrespective of how good or bad he is at it (limerick fans on this forum have spoken about noc at length). A few more players could do with a kick up the ........!
For the remainder of the season everybody should get behind limerick 100 per cent starting with Dublin City this Friday.
They are quite capable of getting the win. Finucane to get the winner from a set piece

somebody should have a word with drew and set him straight on the role of being a chairman of a football club, its ridiculous the way that he is being allowed to carry with interfering with the team and players, surely its gotta be stopped

I see from the sligo forum that he was at it there too. Chairmen of junior/schoolboy clubs wouldn't carry on like that. Havent seen him at home games, maybe some regular fans could describe him, (tall, short etc)

DD thinks he is better than the club . Way better than the club he is running , He apparently has a 5 year plan to turn our club in to a boxing club the way he is acting at present.
IMHO DD is 6 ft tall , but I had no idea **** could not be stacked so high .
we wont make playoffs untill DD
(1) Cops on
(2) Curbs Temper
(3) Spots a good footballer
Flame on !!

i dont think anyone hasnt been 100% behind the team..despite how we rate/moan about certain players theres no doubting we want them to do well.
i guess after the 2 season at the pike the happenings at the club during the close season had us all filled with expectations of the highest order.
i'm looking forward to tomorrow nights match. cant be worse than the last two matches i was at...spurs v porto and cork v shels :D
seriously though i am looking forward to the match and a win would be fantastic so c'mon limerick! ....and feck off bad weather!

In front of everybody. He nearly jumped the gate in order to get to Tomas. Then proceeded to abouse him verbally all the way to the dressing room.
Thomas will never wear a Limerick Shirt again while DD is around. Disgraceful behaviour by the Chairman when there are lots of Families around.

Sorry to intrude here but I have been to most Limerick games this season and have to say McAuley is one of the worst players I have ever seen in a Limerick jersey. That doesn't excuse the treatment he got from the chairman but don't let it cloud judgements about his ability. Also, how many times has he been sent off...3,4 ? Surely not bad luck to be sent off that many times......

I presume you're also aware that McAuley is a centre half who was being played at left back? If you put Paul Finucane at full back, he'd struggle too. He was sent off 3 times, the last one was a last ditch tackle trying to save a certain goal - a playing matter that should be none of Danny Drew's business. McAuley was given a raw deal from start to finish and the fact is we never saw him given a decent chance in his best position.

I don't care if McGauley was blind, 3'7 and needed a zimmerframe to move about. He was treated absolutely awfully at the end. There's a time and a place to discipline players and immediately after the incident is not that time. McGauley could now be on his way to Athlone Town where he'll probably revert to his favoured centre-half position and score against us pretty soon...
The whole situation reflects poorly on the club in my eyes... word of that will get around and it won't be as easy to persuade players that Hogan Park is the place to be.
