:( I have always been a huge Elvis fan, love his music and his voice was amazing. I have quite a huge collection of his music. He was indeed a truly unique individual with bags of talent. And he was pretty fit too..... ;) :D

One of my all time favs is "His latest flame" by Pelvis.

Same guitar bit in Smokie's "Don't play your rock 'n' roll to me" and The Move's "(I'll be over) Tonight". ;)

Anyone ever hear the live version of Are You Lonesome Tonight where he cracks up laughing in the middle of it?

He sings: Do the chairs in your parlour seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair?

and then completely loses it..... nice to see the King had a sense of humour :D

disagree with ya there. sure he didnt have much input in the creative process but for sheer presence there are few better.

Alright let's look at the facts over 100 US Top 40 Hits over 100 UK Top 40 hits. No 1's on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1950's , 1960's 1970's, 1990's and the Noughties . Who has been more successful? ...... NOBODY :cool:

Elvis=legend

Blue Suede Shoes is my party piece (I know Carl Perkins did it as well but Elvis' version is the one I heard first and like best).

Have any of you seen the video of him doing Suspicious Minds live (I think it was a Vegas show) a longer and insanely lively version. Astounding stuff.

Oh and Aldini wasn't that a line in Fight the Power by Public Enemy?
