When a new striker goes without scoring it can create pressure. Kerry's wait for a first win is feeling somewhat similar. Rueing missed chances against Wexford and Athlone. Set pieces should have been defended better.
Saturday evening is another opportunity to try and apply lessons learned. They'll have to remain switched on defensively for the full game and take their opportunities.

Only one goal has been scored by Longford so far this season, and that came in the very first game! That said, Bishopsgate will be a difficult venue for Kerry this weekend, and as you say, the primary focus will have to be on finally securing that first clean sheet of the season, and if any chances present themselves at the other end, they'll have to be clinical. The last two weeks have been frustrating in terms of having enough of general play to pick up draws, before the games ultimately slipped away, so hopefully fortunes will turn on this occasion.

The last two weeks have been frustrating alright. The concession of goals from set pieces keeps on recurring. The latest after a free kick for offside.
Ireland showed against France last night that there are games that require a more defensive approach. Something for the management team to keep in mind when coming up against Waterford and Galway in April. Waterford have sacked their manager but they are a dangerous opponent.

Kerry's next 4 games are Longford away this evening, Finn Harps home, Waterford away and Galway home. Recent good performances will need to be converted into results. Ideally picking up positive results before the two most difficult games.
Kerry possibly could have done with an international break. Tonight's fixture has given them at least an extra day. A small break from routine.
It's difficult to make a prediction when we haven't played a team before. Kerry can just focus on the basics. Defend the set pieces and put away any decent chances that might come their way.

The same starting XI as last week. I think this is a first. So close to a clean sheet last time out.
