fixtures are out for the whole season, most clubs should have received them

is that a new thing that the fixtures are released for the whole season, have not heard that before.

widow
12/08/2005, 9:31 AM
ya its a new thing this year, basically to stop a certain person making a mockery of the league

Bonovox
12/08/2005, 1:05 PM
Its not a new idea to receive the fixtures at the beginning of the season. All clubs receive is the first round of League fixtures with provisional dates, as they have done for years now. You will find that this goes out the window after around six games and Mr. Cusack reorganises to suit his buddies. Different season, same sh!t.

progress
12/08/2005, 1:48 PM
ya at least it has been taught about ne way,cos something had to be done, the way the fixtures were set out last year was a joke.the fixtures this year i imagine will work a bit better as people will know if the fixtures are being fiddled to suit certain teams.

Bonovox
13/08/2005, 7:55 PM
progress.....people know the fixtures are being fiddled every year yet nothing is done about it. He's as bad as Charlie Haughey!

think the winners will come from pike and fairview this year, balla as outsiders, you can't even predict what carew will do this season, as they could easily fall away some of the players they have signed could easily wreck team morale.

start of the season will be interesting alot of the top teams playing each other

can't see how they can appeal the decision, its a local league rule, agreed by all the clubs. They were even warned before the first game of the season that they were illegal, and even after clubs put in objections they still continued to play the players. A show of arrogance IMO

Heard that Dave Wall was going away because he thought the Fai was fixed for next week! Lucky for him the match is off as the View were not best pleased. I mean, Salthill is only up the road.

Boro b played in myross 2 weeks ago. they were pelted with stones while the match was in progress. The keeper was hit by some nut with an umbrella and their cars were pelted at the end of the match

did anyone notice that in a full list of FAI fixtures ,boro v fairview was d only one to be allocated linesmen..i pressume the re-fixed game will be rewarded with the same preferential treatment...how is this fair for the other competing teams? was it that the LDMC waved their magic wand again so that there wouldnt be a third controvercial decision for the munster council to make this season!

if that is true it is a joke !
Why bother playing when there are rules for one and different ones for others !!

Ah this is getting f**king boring.

Right, I take it then since you ignored 3 of my 4 points that we can put them to bed.

I heard he f**ked up his dates. So am I wrong. If so, just tell me. Or else just post back that I'm talking out of my... ah you put it so nice with caps and everything, for the 4th time.

By the way, I'm not into this, I just have to keep trying to answer the questions that you keep posting.

Goals4fun-hurya: The boro v view match has linesmen because the boro requested them. Any team can request linesmen for any match if the officials are AVAILABLE. Waterboy---- Fairview requested to the FAI that the match be off. The local rules states , that if the Burial has taken place the fixture should go ahead. In this case it was only right that the match be off because of the Man involved. The fact that view would have been missing some players had nothing to do with it.......(i dont think so)

that is the normal rule with requesting linesmen.
I know of plenty of occasions where teams requested linesmen but were not given them.
I think all premier games should have them.

widow

I agree they should but the simple fact remains that the resources aren't there unless premier league games were played at a different time. Which would make sense as more people would go to the matches, 10.30 kick offs are a joke in my opinion, what would be wrong with a lets say 12.00 start.

a long time ago there were 1.00pm matches!!!! But i imagine ref didn't have to travel half way around a few counties to do matches.

i agree with Goals4fun on this one..ive been told the ref numbers have dropped from around 60 in 2002 to only 28 today.. its still feasable to have a Ref and his 2 ASSisstants at all premier games every sunday morning.
If the LDMC actually stuck to the planned fixture list instead of holding an EGM whenever a game was postponed, then we might just get somewhere with this.

The reason the match's are played at 10:30 is so can ref's can make it to the afternoon match's,if the started at 12:00 then they would have to change the time for afternoon match's and if you were with a "b" team you'd want the match over early as possible so u can be watching ford super sunday in the pub.
