What's happening with both the Trust and Rovers.com websites as they are not being updated lately. Have the lads jumped ship or just gone on holidays.
Just wondering as I've heard some news concerning a couple of players and am wondering is it true. I checked the websites and noticed they haven't been updated in a while.
Off to but the Champion................

Not sure about the trust but sligorovers.com hasn't got much of an update lately because Paraic has been busy with parenting. It was announced at a Rovers match that he's a daddy now :D

havent had the time. if anyone wants to help then great.
and why would we jump ship ? whats that suppose to mean. we have meetings every week as everyone knows. people who help do so with their own time and people have lives to live on occassion
ppl would prefer to moan on here than get involved and help the club. suppose if the club do well all the time. would be nothing to moan about.

easily enough. by coming on board. taking responsibilty for a particular section and updating that. currently building a new content management system that will allow anyone that can use word to update the site from any location through the net without software. want to have it up by october.

gary you take offence way too easily.if anybody says anything you jump down their throat.hardly a great way of encouraging people to join the trust.

hardly a great way of encouraging people to join the trust.I dont blame him to be honest. He's probably ****ed off at people who criticise the trust without reason. People always seem to criticise the trust for all the bad things but dont praise them for all the good things they do.

sligoman is spot on guys - up to me eyes at the moment.
I put out a request a couple of months ago looking for help with the main site. there were a couple of responses from contributors that I'm still following up on.
the main concern I have is with the site design and the ability for more than one person to be able to update. In the last week, I've had contact in relation to this and I'm looking to redesign the entire site to allow multiple contributors.
re the updates, I'm relying on the champion and weekender cos I don't have time to chase up and write stuff myself at the moment.
And redtop, the updates are done asap after the result. If I'm at the Showgrounds, they're there at about 10 pm on the night. Not bad eh? If not, usually, the result will be on-line the day after. unfortunately at the moment the reports are following a couple of days later.
SRFC Head - those links are there now I was publishing at the time you checked. just refresh the links and they'll be ok.

It's time the club took a stand with people like this. For far too long our club has been dragged down by the minority. I heard about that particular incident and to be honest it sickened me. When supporters like Gary and Alan get up and try to do something for the club they have to be appreciated and indeed encouraged as in the long term everyone associated with the club will benifit. People that speak out against organisations such as supporter clubs or in this case the Trust should be told to either put up or shut up. If things don't change then the only alternative is to ban them from the grounds. It may appear to be an over the top approach but for too long the real supporters have sat back and let the loudmouths dictate to everyone. Once people such as Gary and Alan are seen to be appreciated for the work they do then more will get involved. Under the present conditions they are only putting themselves up for ridicule, it's up to the club to put structures in place which will encourage more people to get involved.

Totally agree with you. The person that said that is a disgrace.
Honestly I think people like that would hate to see the club get promoted and be sucessful. It really is a shame when your own fans turn against you for doing something right.

Just noticed this (http://www.sligorovers.com/news/interviews/broujos_file.htm) on the Rovers site. The Brujos file, it says that there will be interviews with Brian Kerr, Nicky Reid, Gavin Dykes, Mick McCarthy, Laurie Sanchez, Willie McStay and a few more. Have any of these ever taken place? And if not maybe it should be taken down from the site, Paraic, what do you think?

This was an idea that we had when we launched the site, but unfortunately, we didn't get a decent chance to get it going.
I'm reviewing all content at the moment as part of a the redesign and in the absence of people coming on board to do interviews etc, it's likely to be canned.
