Having seen an impressive 30,221 people pass through the turnstiles on the opening weekend of the 2023 league season, Gameweek 2 had a tough act to follow. On initial inspection it would appear to have suffered a drop as 23,867 League of Ireland fans attended fixtures with all ten games taking place on Friday night.
