Any neutral analysis of the game would have to make Cobh heavy favourites - their pre-season form has certainly been impressive, with draws against Cork and Waterford, and a narrow 1-0 defeat against Shamrock Rovers, while their transfer dealings have also caught the eye, particularly the capture of Wilson Waweru from Galway United. It is literally impossible to predict what level of performance Kerry are capable of tomorrow, or indeed their line-up - Mark Carey has been ruled out, while Stephen McCarthy, Junior Ankomah and Cianan Cooney are subject to fitness assessments. That said, spurred on by a capacity crowd, perhaps The Kingdom can defy the odds and mark their LoI debut with a win.

It is impossible to predict what level of performance Kerry are capable of today or indeed their line-up. Cobh's points total last year was low. Their preseason form and transfers suggest they'll be more competitive this year.
This evening is also Dennehy's first game in charge in the LoI. He has a wealth of experience from his playing days. The experience of Dennehy, Shane and Matt will be crucial if Kerry are to get a positive result tonight. It's a game that will call for as much experience as possible, with a sprinkling of youth and fresh legs.https://foot.ie/forums/117-Kerry-FC

Good luck to Kerry FC tonight & enjoy it & welcome to the game, yee fcuked up the season ticket price in a hilarious way but laugh it off & carry on, no one in this league can throw any stones of a financial mishap variety anyway.Comment

Certainly no disgrace in defeat, a slow start in the first half, but settled into the game, and the changes at the break definitely proved more of an attacking threat. Overall, it was inexperience that cost them tonight, and once they get the consistency that comes from regular game time, I can see things clicking together sooner, rather than later.Comment

Even just watching on LOITV, the atmosphere seemed tremendous, and lots of parents with their families by all accounts, which bodes well. I'd be confident the Treaty game should also sell out in a fortnight, Dennehy's philosophy is to focus on attacking football, which will help the fans keep the faith, after catching glimpses of it once the team settled in the second half.Comment
