This is our last chance to save our club, to raise enough money, to try to better the offer for the C.V.A. that our club might be able to survive. We are asking all Derry City fans, if you can, come to the Showgrounds on Tuesday, admission is free, we are only asking for donations. The money will be collected by supporters, and will have nothing to do with the men who brought this club to its knees.

Imagine for one moment that you replace Coleraine with DERRY CITY, imagine the heart break that your fellow supporters are feeling. It is not our fault no matter what some may think. So please, please, come on Tuesday night.

IF NOTHING ELSE, IT MAY BE THE LAST TIME YOU EVER GET TO SEE FOOTBALL AT THE COLERAINE SHOWGROUNDS EVER AGAIN.

Thankyou in advance.

It is so hard not to feel pity for the cause of Coleraine fans, they are after all supporters of their local team and not barstoolers and that is to be admired. However when we almost went to the wall a few years back our demise was met with laughter and enjoyment from Coleraine fans and IL fans in general. Your clubs abstention led to us being in the wilderness until we joined the league of Ireland so I really do not think you can expect much action on the part of City fans.

If the current club are not succesful on Wednesday then is there not already another planned?

Im of a similar opinion, Coleraine done us no favours in the past but i did realise the hurt their diehard fans must feel right now. At the end of the day overpaid players killed the club, i remember we tried to sign Tony Gorman but the wages Coleraine were paying were far higher than we could afford. I always remember wondering how they got the funds. Its a warning to all clubs in Ireland to refrain from paying crazy wages.

I remember there was a disc for the computer brought out with all the first team players and staff talking on it and was sold off was a good idea and also envelopes went around all the doors!
