Ball Boys/girls

what is the story with them are they just there for decoration or are they actually meant to do something.At one stage last nite when the ball went into the corner one of the ball boys had to be told to get the ball for the waterford keeper otherwise he wouldn't have moved.There should be plenty ball boys/girls around the pitch each with a football ready to keep the game flowing

Yeah there were a few around me who couldn't see the point of ball boys if they were going to lean against the advertising hoardings, while Holden was delighted to see the seconds tick away, waiting for one of them to kick the dead ball to him for a kick out. :rolleyes:
