P!ss off to Longford Bog Ball (http://longford.gaa.ie/) if you want to talk about the Grab All Association.

Who the heck do you think that you are banging on about" say no to bog ball"
Anybody who is actually from LONGFORD would know that a strong following of the lTFC support now comes from GAA supporters as well as the orignal long time supporters.
None of this crap you are going on about.
If you want to knock GAA f*ck off and dont do it in longford or Ireland for that matter....
IDIOT
I'll post what I want, where I want thanks very much..... It's you who came on here trying to sh!t stir.....
This is an LTFC forum, so what has you banging on about the Gaaaah anyway? A sport where the administrators make millions, the players are taken for a ride, and in no where more than Longford do the players face a thankless task - damned if they do go into the county, damned if they don't. And to that the fact that the organisation will not allow so called foriegn games to be played on it's soil (despite football having a far larger participation in the state) whilst throughout the world Gah clubs rely on football, rugby and cricket clubs for their very existence as they would have no where to play........
I could go on and on - it's not even about the games (which I actually quite like) it's their whole attitude and on a Longford Town Football Club forum I will have a go at any other sport I like.
so....

Whoever you are you seem to have a real chip on your shoulder about GAA.
I was only making a friendly comment about the match on Sunday and you come on going on about not talking about GAA on a soccer forum.
You are the one that signs your messages with"Say No to Bog Ball", so how you can comment on others going on about GAA on this site is beyond me.GAA is out native game and a nost entertaining game at that....Dont get me wrong its great to see the LTFC doing well, but I would be the first person to cheer Longford on in Croker as well.
Would you?
In fact are you a Longford man/woman at all(well, you are called Macy???)
Well I was in Croker last year, and was always supportive of Longford Gah until then - I went (as did several other Town fans) in our Town jerseys. We got nothing but stick in Quinns and at the game. This p!ssed me off on two fronts..... Firstly there were plenty of Gah jerseys in the crowd in Tolka for the cup final with little or no comment passed, but if I do the opposite then I get grief..... Secondly people who were wearing United/pool/$eltic/A.N.Other Brit team got no comment passed at all - we were wearing Longford jerseys for bucks sake.......
I've already said my problem is not with the game, it's with the organisation. If the FAI had got the money that the gah have got for croker then eircom park would be long built by now. Players are expected to give up their entire social life for the best part of each year for nothing while their managers get lucrative 'expenses'. A limerick GAA boss can resign to out cry over several players wanting to play both codes, whereas he wanted these amatuer players to do what he wanted. The Government giving massive hand outs each year to the Gah, while football suffers continued under investment.
You call it a chip, I call it reality.
A final question - what reaction would i get going on Brendan McLoughlins GAA site and talking about the Town. I think we both know the reaction I'd get.
btw I've seen far more bad Gah games in Longford than bad Town games.
The GAA a bit like the Catholic church in that its taking too long to emerge from the dark ages.
BTW LT v Pats on tv was IMO a fairly good game. Super freekick by S.Holt but pity about the attendance, i'd have expected maybe another 1000 or so.

I did as well from the Longford crowd, and I also expected a lot more from Pats as well. I thought they'd bring another 2-300 hundred pats to travel (and so did most of the Pats fans I was speaking too)
Maybe all the crowds were down on sunday for 2.45 start which effectively 1.45 given the clock moving ahead an hour. I know loosing that hour messed me up & I wasn't even going to a game. ;)
Crowd at Dalymount on tv looked terrible too. Apparently shels supporters were boycotting or something but theres not many of them anyway.

Haven't they being boycotting since their formation????? ;)
Didnt ye use the GAA team colours for the away jerseys
to try to drum up support from all corners of the county,
be they soccer or gaa fans!
CMon The Harps :p

What sort of a reaction do you expect to get when you post on an irish soccer forum implying that irish soccer is not as entertaining as Gaelic Footie???
Don't think many will agree here at all actually.

Yes, but people could've brought the Town jersey and pumped money into the club they had come to see....
Ash, maybe you'll change your away colours to Westmeaths, or have your nearest rivals (both geographically and footballing standard) Mullingar Town already beaten you to that????

Bitterness and jealousy will get you no where Mr Cahill
Mullingar were woeful sh!te the last time I saw them.
Not a match for Towns Under 21 team.
Come to think of it, neither was Galways 1st team!
Not sure what their away colours are - doubt they'd try to copy Westmeath cos even the locals in Mullingar (very GAA town)
hate the team!
As for cheering on the Harps ... not bitter at all, I just want ye to
be relegated so we might gat a few decent crowds in Mels for the midlands derby matches :)

Well the attendance was around the 2000 mark. The main stand holds 1500 alone & the rest of the ground was fairly empty which makes it look bad. Considering kids U12 got in for free & it was such a big game plus that pats are the real eL winners, I expected more to come out.
But on a good point... The match was a good ad for eL. People who watched the match on tv, said it was a good match & were surprised at the quality of the match. It's great to hear Comments like these coming from people whom slag me all year in college!!!
