You know the ones, 'Now 543', 'Best Festival Album in the World. Ever!' or the likes of 'Ibiza' compliations and the likes... Whats the dodgiest compilation CD out there you've stumbled across?

was browsing through HMV, and found 'Dad Rocks' a compilation for Father's Day. Does anyone's dad listen to The Jam and THe Clash and the likes? Unless they're very trendy and/or young. and to top it all off.. 'The Best Barbecueing Album in the World'!!!! What the hell next, the 'Best Having A Dump Album in the World!' or 'The Best Album to Hoover and wash the dishes by'!

I'd probably bad "Depressing songs" cause given the public misunderstanding of our subculture, the record companies would probably fill the record with gothic music :D

Some of those compilations are not that bad... I once bought one compiling female rock songs, and that was far from a bad CD: songs by Anouk, K's Choice, Heather Nova (the wonderful "Walk this world"), Garbage ("I think I'm paranoid"), Tori Amos, Jewel, Republica (the very catchy "Ready to go")

My parents have some songs compiling Flemish pop songs... Scary experience to listen through that record, and extremely damaging your national pride...

 The ones that annoy me are 'The Bands 05' and the likes.. One CD of good stuff, but then they put songs from ten years ago as fillers. Why? and the ads annoy me too, random nerd saying, 'I really like this band, they're great for when Im driving my car in the mornings' or stuff like that. Who cares whether some geek likes them or not, not going to make me buy it!
