God - that's awful. Is it supposed to be a Celtic-type representation of a football ? Whatever it is it doesn't work anyway. Looks like the logo for a strugglig 1990s indie-rave-folk band.

It's positive that the WNL womens league has been brought under the same LOI brand. Interesting it's called the premier division too, in anticipation of a second tier at some stage.

I'm in the minority it seems. Think it looks decent. Not sure what people are expecting something like that to look like. Think people like moaning for the sake of it;)

I'm feeling too strongly either way about it, but the shade of puke green is a brave choice.

There are more pressing issues with the LoI brand than the logo.

Those colours.... is the league going to be sponsored by Monster energy drinks or something like that?

A new branding for the league is a positive imo. In general people just don't really like anything that's new so I think the criticism is normal. In a decade when it's replaced again people will be saying it was the fine as it was.

At the same time the re-branding only actually means anything if there's actually a massive improvement in the leagues online presence. As currently the leagues website can go weeks and months without up-to-date information. This is a chance to fix all of that now with a fresh re-brand.

If there isn't an actual improvement on the underlying coverage from the league than this is just putting lipstick on a pig. I suppose we will have our answer in 6-12 months.

I think the bigger concern is the fact the FAI have again failed to attract a new sponsor. Airtricity probably getting it for next too nothing.

I think the branding is fine really. If you actually analyse it, it is a design that can be applied to TV, Video, Print, Social Media, and Web, so it ticks the boxes there. They key about branding is consistency and this style can be easily be adapted to all forms of media.

Are there many leagues in Europe referring to their league & cup as the men's to differentiate it from their women's competition , is it becoming more popular ?

Hopefully soon Calcio as 'The league needs a strong Rovers'.........................apart from 1987-1993, most of the 90's, 00's and before 2019!

Media coverage of the women's game has increased dramatically in the last year or two. I'm all for knowing which one I'm getting before I click on a headline.

I agree 100% here , i'm not anti woman but i hate clicking into a story and finding out i was click baited which i think is the whole idea of not making it obvious.

I read a headline earlier about Ireland moving up the world rankings. Didn't take me long to figure out which team they were talking about though.
