Apparently. I think he was a teammate of Brian Lenihan's...! Obviously way before we came into the league; back when we were a pure student team.
Ollie studied at third level? Or rather Ollie studied at 2nd level?

He's not our captain. The supporters club raised this matter with the club at the time and were informed that, since no report or complaint had been filed by Wes Charles, Bray or the match officials, there wasn't a lot they could do without verification. I have very little time for the player allegedly involved (he's a nasty piece of work sometimes, and no longer a regular), but it sounds like natural justice took its course, if anything untoward did indeed occur.
He was makeshift captain on the day in the absence of the captain, I'm presuming it's okay to name name's here  I doubt he'll get the captains armband again, t'would drag the name of the club down IMO.

i dont even know where to begin with that banquet of b ollocks.
are you for real?
I am not saying what Steaua did was OK, I am merely agreeing with bigmac that some jokes and banter occur that would be considered racist outside a circle of friends.

Eyewitness account son. Also one of your players manhandling the ref, your manager acting like somEbody on One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, bottles flying and a pitch invasion.
Go on tell me a) that those incidents didnt happen and/or b) it was Rovers fans fault.
Get it through your head. Oily is a cancer of the league.

Bottles came from the Drogheda end towards Jason Byrne, Olly didn't touch the photorapher. The rest is true.

If you're going to be pedantic about it then, so are a high number of Rovers "fans".  :)

You have some total scum running your club too, cornering former players up in Bray for a start.

Funny I didnt see any of the trustees "cornering former players" in Bray. BTW its down in Bray. But hey dont let the facts get in the way. Nice of you to change the subject of the thread.
Oily is probably your hero given that he can do no wrong. There are normal fans at your club who want him gone. Only the severly deluded think he's doing some good.
I acknowledge that the biggest club will always have some problems. When are you gonna acknowledge that the league will be taken more seriously when oily is gone from it?

I never said anything about my opinions on Olly, at this stage I would agree he is probably doing more harm than good to us, but he did nothing on monday.
As for what happened in Bray, it was well documented here. They aren't just idiot fans dragging your name down now, they're idiot owners. It's the same thing.
Keep on topic folks. Less of the personal attacks!

However bad isolated racist incidents here seem it is quite endemic and far more disgusting in many Eastern European grounds where it can take place en masse. I believe it should be highlighted at shamed at every occasion.
Steaua were fined €16,500 for their fans behaviour against Shels in Europe.
