Sad to see Paul McNaughton has left us. One of a few if not the only one who played League of Ireland, International Rugby and Gaelic Football.
A true sportsman. Rest in peace.

Played in a couple of cup finals for Shels in the 70s

As Gerry Thornley points out, some of his achievements will never be matched again. I met him at a rugby social years ago and he kept us enthralled with the stories from various sporting adventures and with Ireland as Manager.

Top class rugby player and I didn’t even know about all the other stuff unless I forgot which is possible.

Played in a couple of cup finals for Shels in the 70s

Now I think of it I have heard of him!
