FAI have terminated the contract with current kit suppliers three years after signing a seven year extension. Interesting that this news comes soon after the recent ruling surrounding JD and the emails. Hoping for O'Neills as our next kit supplier anyway.

This story could go on as JACC have rejected the termination of the deal.

Gotta feel like the FAI have their ducks in a row and are 110% certain there'll be no legal ramifications on them for doing this. JC probably raging that the handy gig they had with the FAI for so long is coming to an end sooner than they thought now that JD isn't around anymore.

This is nothing but idle speculation on my part, but this smells of Adidas or Nike. I imagine that one or both of them lifted the phone to Abbotstown after the WNT qualified and their legal guys will be helping the FAI tear the contract with JACC to bits. And if it was agreed in the Delaney era who would be surprised if the paperwork is dubious?

As a fan I have no sympathy for JACC whatsoever. They've been doing the kits for 28 years and there's been very little to get excited about in that time. We owe them nothing.

I for one welcome our new corporate overlords.

Our kits have mostly been awful. A few exceptions here and there but very little to be thrilled about. The current Jersey takes a lot of effort to put up with..

The previous one is actually one of my favourites and getting it without a sponsor was a great opportunity.
Oneills would defo be my preference now.

An orange away shirt is fine with me too. They would want to hurry up mind you...

The two orange away shirts we’ve had have been awful. Though I’m not against an away orange jersey.

We haven’t had a decent kit since 2016 (which to be fair was glorious - bar the luminous strip on the collar).
The current kit is some weird camouflage thing and the last one was generic rubbish with a gold band on the collar. The away kit was just a rip-off of the Italia 90 adidas white shirt.

Out of interest, is JACC not just the manufacturer rather than the designer?

Do Umbro not just give them the design and they make it?

JACC is the distributor I think. So they play an agent-like role.

Strong rumours online today that it’s Castore.
Who don’t have a good rep with Newcastle fans

Don't think I've heard a good word about Castore.

Also more news about Jacc Sports and why the FAI released that statement parting ways.

Talk that Circle K will be the next sponsors. Those €90 poor quality Castore shirts with a dirty Circle K logo splashed across the front will fly off the shelves.

I remember when they launched the Rangers kits, the numbskulls loved their paratrooper styled logo. That was a winner up North. :confused2:

Bayer Leverkusen and Seville both had issues this season with the crest falling off jerseys of players, both supplied by Castore.

Our worst fears

Which is a shame.
They could’ve helped Irish jobs and given it to O’Neills.

Or they could’ve gone with Nike who are doing some very classy jerseys these days (France, England).

I'd have preferred Adidas or O'Neills. Castore feels like very low budget brand to be associated with.

Is there any link between Sports Direct and Castore? Didn't we have some ridiculous arrangement with Sports Direct a few years ago?

I thought Mike Ashley owned the company, for some strange reason, but apparently not.

It's backed by Andy Murray the tennis player. Hence, Rangers were their first kit I believe

Is this a case of careful what you wish for? A board with non-football business people mostly who are looking at the é sign from a purely business perspective? I worried about this when everyone was pushing for mass change.

I’m glad we’re away from UMBRO. They seem obsessed with emulating retro Adidas….which is just weird to be honest

€40 for the anthem jacket there, that's not a bad deal.
The home jerset is reduced to €48, but the away is still €80??
