DUNDALK bounced back from last week's heavy defeat to Kilkenny City with an impressive win over table toppers Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds last night.

Ger McCarthy put Dundalk ahead from a penalty on 15mins after Michael McNamara was sent off for hand ball. It got worse for Sean Connors side after 29mins when Peter Hynes made it 2-0.

Dundalk also finished the game with 10 men when Brian McCrystal was sent off late on for a second bookable offence.
