If it's not Rosenborg it's Depor.
I seriously think this thing is rigged.

course its rigged. its all about money and the clubs buy the games FFS.
maybe this time we can teach the rosenburg scumbags a lesson and knock them out. its going to be hard and we have steaua still ahead of us. fingers crossed though.

Well if Fenlon wises up and plays your best team for a start ... you might be in with a shout.

On sky sports news they had an "expert" on European football and he more or less wrote Shels off.
SKY HOST: "We must not forget Shelbourne in the draw, they drew 0-0 with Steau in the first leg"
EXPERT: "Well, you would expect Steau to finish that game off as they are in a different class to Shels. Rosenberg are not as good as they were a few years ago and you would expect Steau to get past them also"

Also just on Sky:
Reporter: "Now let us recap on all the British teams fixtures" then included Shels in that

It is really up to Shels to change that attitude/trail of thought/evaluation
If Shels are good enough ...... they'll go through ..... Steaua, in fairness t othem .... didn't at any stage look like world beaters or set the place alight with their blinding ablity.
It is there for Shels to take if they play well enough and give themselves every chance they can ..... like play their best team, is Fenlon getting away lightly for not playing them in the first game ??

If Shels manage to get past Steau, which I can't see, I think they will have a great chance of knocking Rosenborg out. Rosenborg are in crisis, and Shels ran them a hell of a lot closer than Bohs did when they last met.

Exactly .... if Shels are worth their salt then they'll go out ot win the tie convincingly (sp?)

It's an easy mistake. Sure down here in Cork, Dublin is known as West Britain :D

They've done it again!!!
"Now lets look at the odds for the other British teams to win the CL"
Liverpool 25/1
Everton 80/1
Rangers 500/1
Seltic 1000/1 ("Isn't there a 0 missing there")
SHELBOURNE 5000/1

Rsenberg are definitly beatable & probably the best draw we could have got (to have a chance of progressing - not as a money spinner)
BUT Steaua are still the biggest problem :(

It is a winnable tie if we get through, probably in their current state, only winning the Norwegian league on goal difference, they are no better or worse than Steaua are. So if we can progress to facing them we will not fear them. I think they were the lowest ranked seeded team too? Really beyond Artmedia this is as good as it could have gotten.
And I can't argue with A Face, play the proper team in Romania and we have a chance.

5000/1 - that might be worth a fiver :D

We've more chance of winning it than C-eltic do anyway.

They've changed it to the "British and Irish" teams now. Someone must have contacted them

Now I would fud-gucking love it if Shels could get past Steua and then upset Rosenborg (who are probably in the H.Split calibre on current form yeah  ).
But I just think that Steau are too strong and I dont think Shels have a snowballs chance in hell of getting past them. I aint insultin Shels, Steau knocked Parma and Valencia out of the UEFA last year and that's top calibre inpressive if you ask me.
I would love Shels to prove me, absolutely love it but I just can't see it happening. And it even sounds like people are underestimating Rosenborg, they may not be going great guns lately but they are still a tough draw IMO.

Don't worry I've had nightmares about Pat's playing in europe. Unfortunately when I woke up most of them were true :p

If shels do manage to get through and reach the holy grail,i dont think theyll be able to get too far ahead of the rest of the league, especially if they dont qualify for europe next year.
also thell have extra money but league clubs will be able to demand bigger transfer fees from them,as a result transfer fees as a whole will go up and we wont lose our best players to english clubs for €100,000.
all clubs would then have more money to play with, not just shels
i think if the dream does become a reality the league can only become stronger

I agree with jagman. If Shels get into to the third round or the holy grail - the group stages then they will have done it with a very limited budget and no big sponsorship deal. So there is no reason other clubs can't do the same with the UEFA Cup perhaps.
Shels with more money is going to attract better players and clubs will be playing against better opposition regularly so it can only help them.
