No lease for Limerick is the latest rumour that won't just go away. As the (possible) lie that we had it signed at the start of the season was what won over fans to the new regieme, one can only wonder how Willie John is going to pull his a$$ out of the fire this time...

Come on Willie stick a pic of the signed lease up on foot and appease our concerns.

And just for LFC IN Exile, to end on a positive note: The weather forecast is good for tomorrow's game. :p

I don't think that this is the place to be putting pictures of leases to be honest.

That said... I would dearly love to see these rumours put to bed one way or the other. As Deise said it's a great big lie that we've been spoonfed if it is true and totally nullifies the €300,000 grant for now so I think that people are right to express concern.

Sure, why would he want to show the lease to "scumbags" like us paying customers? My bad....

Ha ha Deise. The sun always shines in Limerick!

On the substantive issue - are you serious? Show the lease? Why?

The FAI gave the grant - they are the ones that must be happy with the arrangements - and I am sure they are paranoid given what has happened with Rovers recently. Why does everything the club does have to be second guessed? There is a rumour that there is no lease? And WJ pulling his a$$ out of the fire in relation to a "possible lie" or a rumour? Talk about a loaded attack.

I really think there needs to be a clearing of the air between club and supporters. At this stage it is "he said this" then "he said that" - and it has been reduced to childish name calling (on both sides).

Have to agree with you there 100%
The current relationship or lack thereof between club and supporters at the moment is bad good news for everybody.
If the club have any sense whatsoever they would organise a public meeting, get everything out there, talk about it like adults and then move on. We should all be talking football on this forum but the neverending PR disasters are preventing this from happening. If the club dont organise something soon I suggest we the supporters organise a public meeting and invite Drew, O'Connor and and any other club officials willing to attend...

Not to come across as some kind of wierdo, pinko Drew lover (perish the thought) :D but I give him the benefit of the doubt with the lease for the mo as they can be quite queer documents and the clubs recent history complicates matters.

Fully support the public meeting by the way .Whos bringing the rope? :D

There is a rumour that there is no lease?

Ok lets be completely honest here - the rumour originates from more than one member of the puppet show. The club are the ones who have leaked this.

Agree 100%. I have asked for this as an officer of the SC but was told that there was no point by another officer. Perhaps if others voice this opinion to the SC chairman there may be movement on this.

A couple of days previous to the grants being distributed rumours came from the FAI that Drew was pulling out of Limerick if a decent level of financial aid was not forthcoming. I don't want to be cynical but to many it seemed to be a threat.

I think that is a very short-sighted view to take. A lease is the most important item that Limerick must have to ensure that we move forward on a solid footing.

Drew must step up and clear up the mess that his organisation has caused - either prove that it is signed or give a good reason why it isn't.

Whatever do you mean  :o

Lads I can assure you it was not me who was crying in Colmans, maybe a bit of vodka sweat but no tears ;)

And Deise no offence but there is a place for discussion of leases and other such legal things and an Internet forum it is not. Events in the clubs not too distant past have made a really sticky issue out of "Hogan Park" and coming on foot giving out is just going to put a lot of potentially damaging noses out of joint. I'd say there is quite a lot of tedious, complicated $hit going on with the lease so I would give a bit more time.

By the way there has been no reconcilliation between myself and Mr. Drew incase anyones wondering :) The man is yet to treat me with anything other than borderline pig ignorance
