26 entering the Shield, possibly 2 more entering the league.

Any reason ye didn’t try for a 3rd division? 15 clubs seems to be a lot in a division.

We were so close to 3 divisions. But our experience over the last number of years is that there would too high a risk of a team or 2 folding at some point during the season. If 3 divisions, that would be detrimental if it was 10, 8, 8.

Also with 11 and 15, it gives some flexibility in terms of teams requesting free weekends too, with the odd number of teams , there will always be 1 team off each weekend as opposed to a couple who didn't actually want to be off.
