Not posting it coz it took up 2 pages but the jist of it was giving out about the lack of TV coverage for LTFC and he had a huge dig at all the TV stations esp. TV3. calling it eL weakly.

does it help matters that you play on a different day?

it would make their lives easier if all games were the same day - the bottom line is though that tv3 are mainly gonna cover Dublin based games and hop that local facilities are available in non dublin locations and they can use them

WWS you hit the nail on the head when you said that TV3 are mainly gonna cover Dublin based games. Don't think it would make much difference, however. If it's not Longford, it's Finn Harps or Waterford.

An unwillingness to spend a few more euros on their coverage of games is leading to an anti rural club programme, while possibly not intended, is becoming more and more obvious and blatant. Rico didn't help with his outrageously negative comments - something that he has continued to do since taking over Pat Dolan's team at Cork.

We only got coverage cos we played Shels, same for UCD. In fairness who else other then the fans wants to see Bray, UCD, Harps or Longford? They are clubs with smaller crowds then the other 8.

That's life.

Tv3 won't show "provincial" teams unless they provide their own footage. The only time Tv3 provide their own camera is for some Dublin games.

Cork City only get shown as Chorus already record footage.

You may notice that even the most entertaining game from the cross will only get few minutes highlights (do tv3 pay per second?) when can have drab UCD 0-0 from belfield with twice as much coverage.

TV3 are a joke but best available at the moment. They do not show the programme as public service & considering the non existent running costs + late night time slot with loyal viewers they must be making money from.

As soon as theres another option the eL drop Tv3 as fast as they can.

Our friendly bank saboteur from galway hit the nail on the head last week, its not only about the coverage but also the money given to clubs, 5K is 5K after all........More club chiefs outside the capital should be following suit

Now its bad enough having to watch it without broadcasting to the world how bad it is, sure they would've only one chance to show anyway...

In Fairness they gave good coverage to the Town last night as they headed off to Wales...still doesn't make up ELW.....by the way I see TG4 are showing EL games every Friday night for August (at least I think what the ad was saying!!) but don't think Town will feature as we don't have any of the "big" Dublin clubs away (apologies to UCD fans!) during August..

why don't one of the TV stations not come down to Flansiro for our game v Bohs?? Both teams are in excellent form and it would give them a chance to move away from Dubland.
