Cats make it four in a row
Kilkenny secured their fourth win on the trot and last night claimed the scalp of second placed Dublin City in their first division clash at Buckley Park.
An excellent team move on 22 minutes was rounded off when loan signing Phillip Sheppard slotted home from John McNicholas' through ball.
Dublin City had a goal ruled out before half time as the officials ruled that Alan Kelly handled the ball before putting it in the back of the net.
The Vikings did draw level just after the hour when Paul Shiels slotted home.
The sides were only level for about three minutes though as Sheppard restored Kilkenny's lead. Paul Leahy sent him on his way and Sheppard stole through the Viking defence before firing home.
