View Full Version : Bring on the Dubs

After last night's results we find ourselves back out in front leading by five. Going into Thursday's encounter with the Dubs in such a strong position obviousily takes some if not all of the pressure off us and leaves the Dubs with a must win game on their hands. This in mind the Dublin gaffer Keely has to plan his tactics with attacking football to the fore which in turn should lend to an open game. With the Richmond Park surface suiting our style of play this game will serve well as a good test for us and an indication of how far we've come since the start of the season.
The buzz is back with the showgrounds faithful, there should be good support for the bit o red in Inchicore so bring on the Dubs and may the best team win.

Agreed - I'll be over for it and I can't wait. A win won't mean anything in the short term but opening an 8 point gap would not be anything to be sneezed at now would it? How many do ye reckon Rovers will have at the game - 300+?

Whatever ye have ye'll certainly out number there fans.I'd love if the two of yee drew down in Richmond simply to let the rest of us make up ground but it's a tough one to call i think yere probably up but i'd hate to see to Dublin promted because they have no fans or ground.I predict a 2-2.

you think you still have chance for 1st??

you want us to win to narrow the gap to 2nd....a bit of realism please!

Actually wild rover we play Monaghan and Athlone in the space of 2 days if we win both we will be 8 pts behind Dublin in second before we travel to Kilkenny. We then have 2 crucial games against yereselves and Dublin if we could get 4 pts there i don't think second is beyond the realms of possobility. ;)

I give yee zero to no chance of 1st but if yee keep the form of the last couple of weeks and Dublin get a rocky patch along with Cobh then yee do have a slight chance of promotion through the play offs. Id rather see yee or Limerick get promoted before Dublin cause they have no fans.

Another stupid statement!

What am I? A Galway fan in disguise, get over the fact that we have one of the best teams in the first Div, It's down to two teams for first and second, The Dubs and Rovers. Like it or not that's the way it is. So quit moaning about the fan and ground thing and get back to what will happen on the pitch.

Can't wait for Thursday!

It's certainly not the second in the league, when you see Galway releasing Ciaran Kelly and signing Mark Cobey, I wonder where your ambitions are?

Im questioning these decisions also! but I reckon Mark is 3rd choice behind Gough and Ryan.

Prediction: Sligo to beat the vikings by the odd goal in 3 !! :)

Just heard on Ocean FM that they will be broadcasting the second half of this game live, and will have updates of the first half as usual. So for anyone who cant make it to the game then you can hear all of the second half at home ;)

There is on street parking around the ground. Your best option is as
follows:

If you are driving up Emmet Road so the ground is on your left and the
church is on your right, turn right just after the church. If you park on
this road, or any of the side roads around here you should be fine. Just try
to avoid the first right after you have turned right. This brings you behind
the church and is a cut-through for the estate and there have been a few
cars broken into here.

There is no car park at the ground itself.

Ya there is plenty of parking available, I park around this area alot, work close to inchicore. Its rare enough on break ins, but ya chirch could be dodgy.

If you're going from town, get the Luas out to Goldenbridge. It's much handier than the bus option.
