Today's papers allege Bray turned down €20,000 offer from Pats for EZ

Why would he want to go to Pats? 20,000 is an insult. He's worth much more to us, when he's playing like he is.

Don't worry lads, this will never happen !

Eamo is staying with Bray

€20K is a joke. If Waterford can get €100K+ for Murply, you'd want to be looking to get at least a high 2 figure sum for Zayed. He's class.

But how long a contract does he have?

Zayed is currentley the leading goal scorer in the premier division and is worth a hell of a lot more than that, Cork were sold well short of Doyle for 117k, i reckon if anyone did want to buy him he would 150/200ish.

I was suggesting €80/85K, but you are right. Hopefully he has no silly clauses in his contract! ;)

yes he's our best striker by far and one of the top in the league but we should have no worries about losing him well if we got a good offer from an eircom league side the club would let him go but can't see any clubs overseas going for him.

pat's are skint and could not afford €20,000

I can safely say that this statement is wrong ;)

If we can hold onto him for another ten days he can't leave to the end of the season. And I don't see why he'd go to Pats.

Even if he wants to go, which I don't believe is the case, surely he'd choose Cork over Pats when it's well known they are interested in him.

the fans are interested in him...no talk of the club being interested in him

I'm sorry but that's laughable. He's a decent eL player, but that's about it. Would expect about €20-25k max imo in a league - and even at that I'm surprised at any club paying for a player...

I've no idea what pats are playing at maybe a smokescreen as they swoop for someone else?

Something about all this doesn’t make sense. Maybe Pats know that Bray won't sell him, and by bidding for him they are "proving" how ambitious they are to other potential new signings.

Or maybe I’m just to much of a cynic

I agree but everyone knows I'm very cynical.

And if he keeps scoring, they'll have to raise their price. He's got six in his last six games now.

I think we can hold onto him until the end of the season but after that who knows. I'll have to change my name if he does leave :(

zayed is probably worth about 80k. considering he's the league's top scorer and plays for one of the lower teams 10 goals is an incredible achievment. also, look at the quality of goals, no penalties or tap ins. he has scored against the top sides in the league and his shots to goals ratio is probably the best in the league.

No one answered, but what length of contract does he have? If it's up at the end of the season he's not worth very much.

I think it's longer than that but I'm not sure
