squad was announced last week but should probably be a different thread - those articles where it goes 'liverpool teen sensation gets debut call up to ireland u17s' and they're talking about Sophie Morrin, i have no words for how frustrating they are.

The boys game on Wednesday is on the fai TV I think

RTE Player.. was going to travel up tomorrow night.. but tested positive for f***ing Covid at the weekend.. will watch this first one on the player, then travel for the other two

Told ye keep an eye on my girl.. won the free that the equaliser came from.. poked home the equaliser.. and cracked the crossbar from 25 yards out ten minutes earlier

Good draw for the girls.. should probably have got all three but needed to score early in the first half when they were on top.. Finland on Saturday.. nice crowd to watch them in Tallaght too

Should have gotten the three points v Slovakia, but were happy with one in the end.

final game in the group kicked off at 12, currently 1-1 with Ireland taking the lead and Iceland equalising from distance.

Tough on the dottirs to win by 3 goals and then find out it wasn’t enough to top the group. The 2 late goals conceded by Ireland v Finland totally changed the group and probably affected how they played after going behind in this game.

Yeah, that absolutely killed them on Saturday. Just shows what one small mistake in a game can do to completely change the game, and possibly the trajectory of a group. The keeper got caught in two minds over a clearance, put it up in the air, and the panic lead to a goal. Two minutes later, a second one.. and the group is gone

My girl didn't kick a ball on Saturday either after hurting her leg in the final minute of the first game.. but the other girl from the club came in and had a player of the match performance.. so happy to see both having a relatively good week
