Isn't it the last sunday in August?

Has the Serie A lineup been finalised after those 2 clubs were kicked out for financial irregularities?

No, because Serie B champions Genoa are under investigation for alleged match-fixing. :rolleyes:

Thought Genoa's fate was already sealed and they were kept back, though they may appeal it.

Think Messina are the other club in trouble.
Messina and Torino have been demoted. Genoa's case is ongoing, AFAIK.

think the Italian season has been brought forward a little earlier than usual for world cup preparations. Messina and Torino have an appeal scheduled for August 28th and I think the season is due to start the weekend before, presume there matches will be postponed. another fine Italian mess
