I seen 5k plus in the RSC & 3.5K plus in Derry mentioned online.
Only two (possibly three) games at the Brandywell hasn't sold out this season. 3,700 attendance at the sold out games but this past 4 home games Derry city have been selling terrace tickets. Over 300 at least apparently and all sold out.

Possibly less than 100 Sligo, but overall this season attendances at Dundalk have been mostly disappointing. 500+ choosing not to return from SK days.
That said, even though actual figure given, I still think they are out, stand was 3/4 full, shed same, front and town side of stand busy, I`d have said 2.7k, which would still be poor enough.

Considering the success Dundalk have had over the last number of years its easy to see how some fans would choose to give it a miss when the team are nt competing for leagues. Its still a solid base so if you get Europe and strenghtn over the winter it could come back.
Rovers recent success has brought people out that hadnt been for years

if 2.5k is pretty much your core support you arent doing too bad imo. as sbgawa says europe next year + cup run might bring more back. we've had good crowds this year at TC , will be a real test to keep it at 2.5-3k next year when we arent winning.

Core support is all relative. Hypothetically speaking, if Dundalk became terrible next year and lose every game and are rooted to the bottom of the table, it would be very unlikely they?ll get 2.5K at every game. Or if they?re floundering around mid table in the 1st Division they?ll hardly be pulling 2.5K.

2.5K base is about right, but I always think there are 1k 'floating' additional fans out there, but even from that figure you might only get 500 out of it going, summed up perfectly my 10 yo asked 'why aren't we going to the Aviva again this year for the cup final day out'

Sad fact is on a night like last night a lot of people have to decide whether the game is important enough to accept getting soaked. Oriel looks dreadful on a good day, watched the game at home last night and the place just looks totally miserable on a wet night. It's shocking in this day and age to see away fans huddled under the entrance to the bar trying to stay dry.
100% agreed Oriel Park looks even worse in the rain, no argument there.
However is there any difference to away fans 'huddled under entrance to a bar' in Oriel Park to out in the open at Shels, Bohs, Pats, all have no cover for away fans who also chose to go to the terrace?
That said, I`m getting sick and tired of the same excuses for oriel, toilets are another thing that's a disgrace, only one for females in the stand or walk down to the Lilywhite lounge.

No, you're right of course, sure even my own clubs ground is 75% uncovered. But at least everyone could fit in the stand if needed. When there's a big game in Oriel as a home fan, unless you're a ST holder for the stand and you don't mind being in the middle of the shed with all the headers your going to get soaked

Would say 500-600 at UCD v Drogheda. The covered part of the stand was well more than half full, and a few brave souls in the uncovered part

That's fair, the open terracing town end of the stand is the same for home fans, not a bad view but zero cover, and only 350-400 max can fit under the terrace of the stand that has cover.
Totally unacceptable in my view, any PD club selling tickets for €15 and not having cover, but this won't change any time soon in the 4 grounds I mentioned, Oriel Pk, Pats, Shels and Bohs for away fans going to the ground, Longford too as you mentioned.

Apparently Bohs will have a covered away standing terrace next year for 400-500.
I’m guessing it will be a temp structure on the side they’re currently demolishing, before they start the rebuild.

It makes sense in every respect, the whole Des Kelly can be filled with Bohs fans now as well as the Jodi.
Are there plans to put a cover on the Des Kelly? be a bit funny putting up a cover for the away fans and leaving the home fans in the rain

Irrespective of what cover is on offer in dalymount hopefully boez GM will have rid himself of his petulance by the next time the next Rovers game comes around. If bohs continue to be beholden to this guys whims they'll spend the next few years watching on as other teams, especially their biggest rivals, scoop up the silverware and bohs will be like a sausage at a bar mitzvah

The new away stand means we will get 450/500 tickets and thats it.
It will also be the 10% of capacity which is all they are obliged to give us.
The reason we got 900 in the past was we got the whole of the Des Kelly as the Guards wouldnt let them share it with us.
Dont disagree on the direction bohs are taking and the need for change but as a Rovers fan the longer the Revolutionary front for the Liberation of Palistine and workers united against everything run the place the better

Yea that’s the idea - allow an extra 900 Bohs fans in the Jodi so we don’t have the ludicrous scenario where teams are turning away hundreds of people for the big games.
There will eventually be a roof on the Des Kelly when it’s rebuilt but I didn’t see anything about a roof being there next year. I’d say that’s unlikely. So the scenario you mentioned above is fairly probable.

I wish we were beholden to his whims more, maybe he could've organised a defence properly over the last few years given the chance unlike the people employed to do so.

I’ve no idea what to expect tbh, more than usual certainly but I don’t think it’s the same as other big games towards the end of seasons, will be nothing like the Longford game at the end of last season I’d say….

841 at Longford Town v Galway United according to a poster on our forum. Seems about right. 250 of that from Galway.
Around 2,500-3,000 expected at Terryland Park on Sunday afternoon I would say.

Great to see that main stand full. Disappointing away support from us but not sure what I'm expecting really it's been that way all season. The few that did travel made great noise

The crowd in Edp was brilliant considering the county football final and 2 hurling Quarter finals were on yesterday as well.

Just to add, I reckon Athlone as a venue for the promotion play-off final against UCD, if it's a one of game! ?

Not a chance. None of the clubs would agree to play a game of that importance on a plastic pitch.
Athlone has been floated many times for playoff games before and always rejected.

Was told last week that if Harps made the playoff final, and if Waterford made the other end, Athlone was the suggested venue.
Both Galway and Waterford should bring decent followings to the Markets Field on Friday night for the First Division play-off final.

Can't believe they are playing it there. Did I not see on twitter recently a lad nearly going through the floor in that "away end" yet they're going to fill it with Waterford fans where demand will way out strip supply.

I would have thought tallaght or inchicore made sense and easy for both galway and waterford
I would have gone if it was in dublin and I doubt I'm alone

Maybe they want it in the Markets Field as it is a First Division Play-off and both teams have played on this ground during the season already.
They may use Tallaght or Inchicore when the winners have to face UCD for the Promotion/Relegation play-off game later!
Just a thought!

Great crowd of just over 1000 at the u19 cup final in dalymount last night. Two good sides and some excellent football too.
I know the main point is that the facility in Limerick isn't up to scratch but I do like the idea of keeping what we can outside of Dublin.
Having the influx of 1-2k into Limerick for the day is better than the extra people into an already crowded capital.
Surprised with how many busses (6th 52 seater currently being filled) have already been booked from the Galway supporters. We've an awful culture of travelling to games outside of all Ireland semi or finals.
Waterford have travelled in impressive numbers to big games all season. Should be a decent atmosphere Friday.
And it should be on RTE 2 for all the neutrals that want to watch it, I know I'm dreaming!
Any free streaming links anybody!
