As Derry city beat the shams 2-0 Keeper Barry Murphy had an excellent game. He was unlucky to be on the losing side as he was man of the match imo. He pulled off some of the saves of the season as Rovers season looks to be lng and dissapointing :(

He looked good at Turners Cross and i am sure he will go on and do well. Could play a huge part in ye staying up. By the way best of luck. Rovers played well for spells and there is no way ye are the even the 5th worst team in this league. The 8 points have been a killer. No genuine football fan wants to see a great club relegated because of administration bull****. Ye won those 8 points fair and square on the pitch.

do I even have to point out that you don't speak for every genuine football fan? I really want Rovers to stay up but you will have to do better than +8 on your nearest rivals and i suspect and I believe thay have a good enough team to do that...

Have to say that the three goals that you conceeded were very poor and it's obvious that you are going to have to stop the shambolic defending to ensure you save your bacon....

I follow Cork City not Shamrock Rovers. Of course i dont speak for every genuine football fan. I will rephrase what i said to read it is generally preferable to most unbiased observers that league points gleaned from a seasons worth of games should determine the overall result of that said league. If Rovers go down by less than 8 points another team will stay up even though Rovers outperformed them on the pitch. I think even fans of the team that stays up in that scenario would prefer to achieve it with football results rather than benefiting from administrative punishments. I know its a tricky issue but i have great sympathy for the Rovers players and fans . They started the season quite well. The blow of losing 8 points has cost them far more than 8 points because of the blow to their morale.
