Defender Keogh nets Burnley deal
Burnley have completed their sixth summer signing, with defender Richard Keogh penning a two-year contract.
Keogh, 18, has impressed since joining the Clarets for pre-season on 1 July.

Boss Steve Cotterill said: "He was well known to me at Stoke, but he was only a kid then and although he's still young, in body and physically he is a man."

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 player, who has had a loan spell with Icelandic side Vikingur, was released by Stoke at the end of last season.

Thats a couple of irish players burnley have signed now.

From BBC this morning:

Burnley Keogh deal falls through
Burnley have revealed that the signing of Republic of Ireland Under-21 player Richard Keogh has fallen through.
The Clarets announced that they had signed the 18-year-old after he was released by Stoke.

But the club has now issued a statement confirming that the deal was off after discussions with Keogh's agent.

"After further discussions with his agent an agreement could not be made and the club has decided not to pursue it's interest," read the statement.
