The Rodster seems to have a regular slot on newstalk at the mo, just listening to him talking about the situation at rovers, my heart was bleeding, he sounded like young oliver in the Dickens Novel :(

Didn't hear Roddy this week, but I did hear him on that show a couple of weeks ago. They had representatives of Bohs, Pats, Shels on before him, and Andy O'Callaghan was making the perfectly sensible (I thought) suggestion, that a good way to encourage sponsorship to clubs from Business was for the Government to offer a tax incentive scheme, similar to the one the film industry gets. Roddy then came on and poured cold water on this, saying he'd heard it all before, and the same people would be saying the same thing in ten years time. He then went on to outline his solution, to have millionaires take over clubs, like the guy he tried to get to buy Rovers. Now, I ask you, who is living in cloud cuckoo land ? :rolleyes:

Roddy has already forgotten how he got his millionaire "mate" John Courtney to take over Carlisle and then subsequently f**k him over when things went tits up! He wasn't too interested in getting millionaires to invest in Irish Football that time!
