Useful pre-season friendly in difficult conditions in the AUL today as Wexford and Bohemians ended up as a 2-2 draw. With a gale force wind blowing straight down the pitch, Wexford started with Kiev, Della, Aoibheann, Ellen, Kylie, Freya DeM, Rossi and four triallists/unconfirmed players. Both sides appeared to play better against the wind, Wexford particularly so, as the ball held up better. Bohs went ahead with their first attack of the game when a cross from the right was finished nicely by their left-winger drifting into the Wexford penalty area. A poor clearance by the Bohs defence allowed Kylie Murphy to drill home the equaliser for Wexford. Bohs then went ahead when a Bohs free-kick was touched home to the Wexford net before Kiev Gray could drop on it. Wexford brought on Maeve Williams and a number of other triallists/unconfirmed players as the game progressed and deserved their second equaliser when a triallist showed good pace to latch onto a through-ball and finish well past the Bohs keeper. 2-2 at full-time. In addition to the already confirmed signings for Wexford, a number of other players showed good ability to deserve to be included in the new season's squad. 2-2 at full-time.
