I watch a lot of sitcoms and comedy quiz shows, but the only shows I'd really go out of my way to watch would be the West Wing and the Sopranos. Dead Like Me is pretty cool too.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the shield
Only fools and horses is my favourite of all time. As everyone, big into the simpsons too :)
I'm not into films to be honest but i love the irish themed ones like the commitments, in the name of the father, the snapper, etc etc

dont really watch all that much tv (why i'm paying for sky is beyond me), but I'd watch Scrubs and South park all the time. I also have a crippling addiction to late night poker, and for some reason i always throw on the Crystal maze before I head to work..
Almost forgot my favourite show on tv, American Chopper.. quality show, any other fans here?

I must admit i'm a fan.Ilove the arguements.
The West Wing*
The Sopranos
First season of 24
Band of Brothers
CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York is growing on me...
Law and Order Criminal Intent
Survivor - got quite into a few of them on TG4
Oz
Father Ted
*Actually tend to watch the West Wing on DVD more than on TV - the timing is poor by RTE imo.
Lost is starting on Channel 4 soon, so looking forward to judging that considering how people are talking it up. It clashed with something when it started on RTE, I've got a feeling some reality crap, but can't really remember (bar it not being my choice :) )
The Shield and Oz are class
Used to watch Sledgehammer religiously many moons ago :)

I remember Sledgehammer - me and my bro' used to love that !
Was a huge fan of Moonlighting around the same time as well. Very well made show with an otherwise unknown Bruce Willis and a well-fit Cybil Shepherd. Phwwoooarrrr ! :)
Big fan of Scrubs - very funny show.
Quite partial to Eircom League Weekly as well. Not sure if you've heard of it.....? :D

Actually The Apprentice UK wasn't too bad either. Pretty similar, but with more swearing... :)

A dvd I would recommend is Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights which was a great series, followed on by Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere which had its moments.
I'm watching the Family Guy box set at the moment which is hillarious & I kinda regret ignoring it when it was on the telly, just cause the baby had a foolishly shaped head.

Alot of what's been up already. Conan O'Brien is a classic show and so is Phoenix Night's.
I also like Drawn Together, it's such a p!ss-take.

Well like a few posters have said I used to like Sledgehammer also had a soft spot for Hunter , who I believe was the prototype for Sledgehammer.
Hunter reminds me of Stepfanie Kramer... now there was a lady back in the 1980's who would have been in Totty watch :D
Modern shows.... I'd plump for West Wing.
Other shows I try to never miss include EL weekly... bad and all as it is , want to keep the ratings as high as possible so they don't take it off completely....

Knight Rider used to be on every day on Bravo, think it's off for the moment. What a show, same with the A-Team
Shows I like...
Scrubs
Black Books
Curb Your Enthusiasm - I cannot recommend this enough. Not one mention of it so far is absolutley shocking. Easily the funniest show on TV at the moment and by some distance. It's sense of humour wont suit everybody, but those who like it absolutley love it
The Office
Family Guy
Father Ted
Only Fools And Horses
Red Dwarf
Seinfeld
EL Weekly
Thunder In Paradise
Knight Rider
A-Team
All essential TV viewing.
I know hes a clown but the Tom Green show is amazing. There is an episode where he dresses up as an elderly man in a electronic wheelchair, goes into a supermarket and starts crashing into stalls and shopper saying "excuse me help me". I think its called 'bum leg' and was made in 1996 and the way I remember it so clearly is because I was short of breath for a week after. The funniest thing I have ever seen. After that its Trigger Happy or Viva La Bam.
