Yay!
I imagine this is what Longford fans felt like this time last year, but feck it!
Waterford were awful and cynical. No loss based on that one game. And petty me can't help remember 2017 when they "went bust", cleared their debts, and started afresh and won the FD.
But for now I'm off to drink :)

You’ve earned it for your undying staunch support for the College year after the year

Amazing stuff from the UCD football factory once again, don’t think many would’ve fancied them for promotion this year. Looking forward to the Dublin & District / North West League of Ireland next season

Exsqueeze me louth is no district of Dublin … plz correct to Dublin, north east and north west league.
I am always proud of the fact that Louth (wee county) has two teams and even better when both in the top division.

Delighted for the students.
Fully deserved, and will be a great addition to the Premier division.
They really won’t though.

Drogheda will be when the DART arrives! Congrats to UCD. Now we go raiding for their talent.

Congrats Stu. I'd rather a trip to Belfield than Oriel or Dalymount any day of the week.

:) as a compromise I think we can align to that so the DNWP league although Dublin was in the pale (albeit a minor settlement) so it maybe should be the North West and Pale division, the NWP.
Thanks for advice earlier in thread about going from Goldenbridge Luas to Richmond Park. No issues there and a fair few other Waterford fans went that way.
UCD deservedly won last night. All Waterford fans agreed they were better team. Waterford were poor after a great start with the early goal. Too much kicking of long balls forward which didn't work.
After 4 seasons in the Premier we are back down in first division. It will be a competitive division and not easy to get out of as we have seen before.

Feel sorry for yous Trevy.
I'm just in from work so didn't have a chance to read through socail media. I can imagine there is anger in Waterford atm amongst the fans etc..... Who's getting the brunt of it?

Shiners in power with their magic money tree(s) and it will allllll happen, transport, housing, hospitals, unification, except for IL/LoI 'cause Mr Parker says no, (Delaney hunted down by The Munster) in about 3 days flat....

Or that lovely new children;s hospital that has near a bigger budget than Dundalkfc had last year :D that's growing on fuqing trees as well i s'pose.
Why you're picking on me for political point scoring i don't know?
Anyway- back to the football.

I wasnt picking on you, i was replying to the not in our lifetime in a flippant manner on Sein Fein having all the answers - could have been anyone. But yes back to the football. Any other big fallouts in football due to nepotism or trying to impose it?
The owner Richard Forrest is getting most flak on social media for the timing of the sacking. I don't think it's as simple as we would have won if Bircham was there as our form under him was poor the last 5 weeks anyway and the team had run out of legs.
Local radio also critical of way club was run over last few years and egos being more important than the good of the club.
It's a pity as the support is there in Waterford for the club and big numbers travelled again last night.

I find the Waterford support a strange one, there is great potential there as when things going well they can get great numbers quite quickly but the support also disappears just as quick. In the Prem they would have a bigger attendance than the likes of Harps but in the First Division but if both were First Division clubs I'd expect harps to have a bigger average attendance.
Maybe as mentioned above fans have been burned so many times when things go wrong it is hard not to get cynical.

You have to factor into these things that Harps make absolutely no sense.

Because the rest of the league is perfectly sensible.
