Just establishing here a new thread on the sale of interesting Irish football artefacts. Peter Geoffroy of Collectibles Corner (website with that name) usually has a decent amount of Irish football material in his auction sales. The sale closing today (Friday) has an FAI Cup Winners medal from 1977/78 stated to have been won by Steve Lynex at an estimate of €400. An LOI Shield Winners 9 carat gold medal from 1941/42 won by Cork United also has an estimate of €400. A Bohemians membership card from 1926/27 has an estimate of €50. Two books on the history of Home Farm are estimated at €25.

Will try to add further material as it comes up.

Results of Collectibles Corner auction are now available. The 1941/42 LOI Shield medal sold for €450. The 1977/78 FAI Cup winners medal went for €500. The Bohemians membership card was unsold. The two Home Farm books went for €20. (All prices without supplementary auction charges, etc.)

Next item is a lovely black and white photo of the 1973 all-Ireland Shamrock Rovers team which played Brazil. It carries the autographs of John Giles and Terry Conroy and is estimated at GBP16-20 through Chaucer Auctions in the UK. It closes on 3 September.

I have a friend who has two of the turnstiles from Milltown.
