Just establishing here a new thread on the sale of interesting Irish football artefacts. Peter Geoffroy of Collectibles Corner (website with that name) usually has a decent amount of Irish football material in his auction sales. The sale closing today (Friday) has an FAI Cup Winners medal from 1977/78 stated to have been won by Steve Lynex at an estimate of 400. An LOI Shield Winners 9 carat gold medal from 1941/42 won by Cork United also has an estimate of 400. A Bohemians membership card from 1926/27 has an estimate of 50. Two books on the history of Home Farm are estimated at 25.

Will try to add further material as it comes up.

Results of Collectibles Corner auction are now available. The 1941/42 LOI Shield medal sold for €450. The 1977/78 FAI Cup winners medal went for €500. The Bohemians membership card was unsold. The two Home Farm books went for €20. (All prices without supplementary auction charges, etc.)

Next item is a lovely black and white photo of the 1973 all-Ireland Shamrock Rovers team which played Brazil. It carries the autographs of John Giles and Terry Conroy and is estimated at GBP16-20 through Chaucer Auctions in the UK. It closes on 3 September.

I have a friend who has two of the turnstiles from Milltown.
