Dundalk must start a run going soon and any team that can run Vitesse close over two legs is capable of doing so.
Fail to beat Drogs and wins for Harps and Waterford could see them in the Relegation play off spot which looks riddiculous written down.
Have not heard about the injuries against Derry but if the two Mcs are out for a while that is a serious blow.
Sligo v Derry is a massive game , if Sligo dont at least get a draw you would think their fall out of top 4 is a matter of time.
Heard Bucko being interviewed and sounded defiant "we are still 3rd and 4 points clear of 4th" which is correct but if Sligo were a Horse and you were studying form you wouldn't see them finishing this race.
Despite Galways win last week the first division looks settled for winner and the 4 play off places, slight hope for Galway maybe if Bray can get something against Shels who showed last year they are capable of an end of season collapse under pressure

We need to keep the momentum going and look for at least a point against Pats as Waterford will most likely beat Longford.

Our home form has to improve at some stage this season. We've been awful at home all year, thank feck for our away form.
It has to turn some time, and no time like the present.

Waiting quietly on what as been described as a very serious injury to McMillan in Derry and a bad one to Hoban, Kelly out a week to ten days. Still waiting for the return of 2 long term centre backs injuries. So we are very very tight on options with maybe a keeper and an outfield player in this week having been on trial. Some luck holding up un the cup draws and get players back and just get to 2022 will do me now!

That would be pretty **** on McMillan always harder to come back as you get older.
I thought it was McEleney not Hoban injured against Derry?

Of all people to forget yes McEleney injured v Derry too. Bar McMillan its wait and see after scans and swelling goes etc. Seemed pretty concrete on McMillan and would be an awful end to the season for him if thats what turns out - maybe a heroic return and a clatter of goals in the cup final!

Listening along to Treaty/Wexford on 95FM. Sounds like Treaty are really struggling recently. A week off next week owing to the cup, seems badly required. The return of crowds hasn't helped them at all.

What a tonic tonight's games are, after the trauma of last night 😁😁😁😁.
Pat's look lost in their bid to keep a title race going - I'd give SOD plenty of slack if I was a pats fan. He's essentially in year 1 of his project and needs to clear out the obvious deadwood before they can really go for the league - they look certain to qualify for Europe do that will be money next year for more players. A work on progress by the looks of it
As for "The Most Expensive Squad Assembled in LOI History"... Currently adorning the relegation playoff spot..
What an embarrassent.

Impossible to tell from the angles on the stream, but when the home commentators call "a suspicion of offside" on all three Harps goals you know it's not your night.
Not saying Pats played well, cos they didn't.

Yeah, poor from Pats, but all of the Harps goals looked dodgy. Third in particular looked a mile off. We missed Desmond in defence too I think.
In fairness though, we’d have been more than happy to be second at this point before the season, and as Placid said, O’Donnell is still building a team. We’ve made progress s8nce last year, no question. Tonight was just one to write off I think. Big one next week v Cork in the cup.

Saw Rovers embarrassing themselves (and the league) last night and thought "hold my beer"

Great win tonight for us,I’ve no idea if any of the goals were offside but Tunde took all 3 very well,Pats huffed and puffed but didn’t trouble us too much in the second half apart from hitting the post,we had 1 fit center half and I was expecting the worst but Webster and Boyle did really well…..

With Desmond out and Barrett carrying an injury we were very vulnerable in central defence and your striker used his pace to exploit it effectively. I think he probably got away with a couple of offsides but he finished really well, Our squad is too small for a title challenge so the occasional night like tonight is inevitable. We’ve bounced back from every previous setback and I’m sure we will again. You guys will be ok too. Better than Waterford and on current form better than Dundalk.

Teams have watched the videos and seen that if they play two wingers right out wide, hugging the touchline, they'll have loads of space and stretch and get in behind our defence. We are very easy to get at now.

An undeserved albeit a welcome point for Treaty at a soggy Markets Field. To be fair to Wexford they produced the best performance of any away team in the MF this season and should have won comfortably, quality players in Robinson ,Fitzgerald and Moylan.Treaty were unusually wide open especially in the middle of the field and some poor performances from normal reliables like Lynch ,Ludden and McCarthy.

Cork City are 3rd in the table if games ended at half time. Another 2-0 lead squandered in the last 10 minutes as a result of dreadful substitutions, an over the hill goalkeeper and a young team that sh1t their pants on too many occasions.
Playoffs were a long shot but well and truly gone now surely.
There's always the cup and a Pats side that lost to Harps tonight come to Turners X next week. Fingers crossed.

Dundalk a shadow of the team they used to be.Poor everywhere. Nothing from them last-night to suggest we can get out of the trouble that we're currently in.

Can't argue with that evidence.
Great pace from the lad. Admittedly our defence was struggling last night for several reasons, but he was very effective!

Yeah he’s been threatening a big game for a while, finally came together for him last night…
Good win for Waterford last night on a wet evening at RSC. Some nice tributes there to Roy Butler former player and supporter who died earlier this week. Longford played some good football at times but the 3rd goal from Cian Kavanagh finished the game and John Martin added a late goal to put a gloss on the scoreline. Only 7 points between 4th and 9th now but the games in hand distort the table a bit. Waterford v Dundalk in 2 weeks at the RSC will be a big game in avoiding the play off spot.

A lot said about the hat-trick by Owolabi, which had three very good finishes. But two top class assists from McNamee and Connolly included in it.
Extra angles here, showing clear onsides all round too. First hat-trick by a Harps player in ten years!

Sligo been pretty decent tonight after Thompson opened the score for Derry with a screamer, scrappy goal from Sligo to equalise but probably been the better side since going behind.....

Kenny seemed to have a fresh air from a yard out and the ball bounced in off his standing foot. Maybe the luck sligo need to turn things around

UCD gain on everyone in the First Division except Athlone this week. Results worked out nicely. Closed the gap to 10 points but with 21 remaining to play for it's too late for a title revival. Second place is still in play though.

Didnt see the game, but the news reports suggest lots of chances for Derry, great run from them , puzzling 7 losses in a row from Sligo..
Between Bohs Derry and Sligo for 3td, unless Pat's implode.

We missed a rake of chances as well. 7 one goal defeats in a row. Need to start getting the first goal but could really have got something out of all of them. Hopefully Horgan, Bolger and Wright in for the Drogheda game.

Unlucky in one or two I accept , but 7? I wonder if the euro poor performance knocked morale.
Schooled Bohs in Sligo and Sham Rovers in Tallaght, hard to understand.
If Andre is fit he will score for you but a lot of Scottish clubs 2nd and third tier clubs had a look and said no, who knows?

Greg Bolger played in both the 1-0 schooling of Rovers (it will live long in the memory) and the 4-0 schooling of Bohs and was the best player on the pitch against us by a mile. Ran the midfield and protected the back four. They started losing when he got injured although they lost a few others too. It's a thin squad with some top quality players that was always going to find it hard to challenge for the whole season if injuries hit. They will start getting results again with players back. That's my take anyway. It will be an interesting race for second.
