Agree with all but grangevale, think it be hibs (I know they beat them at the weekend) think hibs will be hard to beat.

Interesting to see to see if glenthorn gel.

It’s the most even the leagues have been in a long time I think. Not much to choose between a lot of teams in all divisions. Should be an interesting season with a few surprises.

Richmond for division 2 might be a good shout. With the players they have they should be doing well.

Div 1: Blarney St / Grangevale

Div 3: Churchvilla / Grattan

Richmond very strong this season, also Churchvilla should have too much for everyone else in division 3..
Surprise package for me this season will be Boscos. Tough place to go get a result. Seen them against Springfield at weekend in the mossie some good young players coming through and look dangerous up top.

A lot more even this year. Mossie with only the group winners going through has upset a few teams. Castleview and grattan flying.

Best Goalkeepers from what I've seen are Ryan Kennedy (Grangevale), Graham Murphy (Glenthorn Celtic) and Adam Mullins (Hibernians)

I've always thought Gary Nolan's ability is unbelievable.

You would need a fit side, something that has probably dropped in AUL with ageing teams with players who still have quality. In comparison to other Oscar Traynor Leagues, that's basically their "senior leagues" so it would be interesting to choose.

Willie Mathew's (blackpool) surely in that bracket.

Pa long always has been brilliant for the glen anytime I've seen or played against him . Gary Nolan as well yiur spot on with .

If anything you will see more over the next 6 weeks with lads returning to college and greater indoor interaction as the weather worsens and the night shortens.

Looking at fixtures lads a lot of matches have no referees down to do them.

Ref shortage seems to be getting worse, it’s the same next week and 6 games called this weekend I know 3 definitely because no ref.

Is it covid isolations or just a extreme lack of refs?

Hopefully the sort a better resolution.

Motivation for teams will completely go in winter, paying out rent and matches getting called over ref shortage rather than weather.

Any teams doing particularly atm?

Seems to only happen AUL? Didn’t see any called over in MSL or CBL. Can’t have been many courses ran over past 2 years either

There was a lash of courses ran over zoom. I just think the refs dont want too ref aul anymore its not worth the hassle to them. Aul wont last another 2 years imo.

It's the wrong side of the season too for clubs having "free" weekends. Come into winter and pitches unplayable for a 2 month period it'll be a serious backlog of games into spring.

Why is it that there were no mid-week games pushed this summer? Was always the case and most clubs would be happy to get games played as early in season as possible.
