Hi guys,

Just to let you that the echo reporter - Liam horan rang me in work to confirm the echo are going to be doing a spread on the lennox thing on saturday. he pretty much was following up my mail to see if I existed etc etc

he also promised that the paper will be giving more coverage to city etc etc.

so i would advise some of ye to ring him up to give the fans point

Nice one, I spoke to Noel Spillane yesterday as well, so hopefully this is a turning point for City in terms of PR as well as everything else. :)

i wouldn´t be that dramatic about it but we will see. every paper sdtory has a shelf life of about a day. let´s hope some momentum does move here.

the thing is is the crowd willbe very poor on sunday so i reckon it´s not exactly the most auspicious start

The Echo this evening has 2 full pages in the Takeover and also the back page is about Cahill 'waiting for Hibs' to make an offer. It also says Shels offered Ollie €38,000 signing on fee plus €1,270 a week. Who wouldn't go for that!

Inside they ask: "What players do City fans want signed?"
They suggest Alan Reynolds, Martin Russell, Alan Kirby, BBM, Billy Woods are all on the shopping list. [email (sport@eecho.ie)]

I think with that fantasy story the Echo has undone all its good work.

I wouldn't be so sure it's fantasy at all, believe me.

I would say that $hel$ have probabley made Ollie that offer. Hibs are likely to match it and City will probabley offer him 600 a week(if even that much). I hate to say this but it looks like its bye,bye Ollie.

I'm sure Hibs will at least match it, if not better it.

It says in D'echo tonight that Hibs are not interested in Ollie. He was watched against Rovers last week and that put an end to it. Shels are still said to be 'very keen'.
