There is a massive gulf between Freiburgs first and II teams.
Is that a fact tommy ?

Worth monitoring when it’s Freiburgs first team. His multiple country eligibility is about the most exciting thing about Ryan for me. The chase is always the best part.
Saw him preseason years ago in the USA, thought he was an ok player, but didn’t think he was going to establish top league. I was surprised Sevilla gave him such a long contract. Now he’s that but older and ploughing his trade in the lower echelons on Germany unfortunately.

if he's playing for freiburg's first team then he should be getting an immediate call up. 5th best team in germany. missed out on the champion's league places 2 years in a row on the final day of the season. reached a german cup semi final last season and a cup final the season before. and in the europa league were very unlucky to lose to juve. they were 1-0 down in the first leg - scored a good goal to equalise which var ruled out for a handball (totally ridiculous, free kick which was flicked on and from point blank clipped the attackers arm which wasn't in an unnatural position - but because he scored, current rules say it has to be ruled out).
then in the second leg, ref gave a corner, var ruled that a sliding freiburg defender was guilty of handball - so penalty and a second yellow card - which effectively killed the tie. but they were the better side for a lot of the 135 mins of the two ties until the red card.
anyway, good good team. somewhat like brighton in england, for how they've overachieved with a minuscule budget and how they've found players from relative obscurity. they've also probably got a top 3 academy in germany - despite having a much much lower budget than most. guys like baumann, schlotterbech, ginter, gunter, schade, phillip have all come through there before getting big moves and/or international call ups for germany. and there's always a stream of players playing u21 for germany including three of the current squad (who can't get into freiburg's first team).
so yeah, big big gap between sc's second team and first team...

That's a super goal by himself to be fair to him.
He looks to have grown a couple of inches as well. Looks lean, looks more of a man now, than the kid I saw with the 21s in Lux a couple of years ago. Interesting to see if this develops into anything,.

Interesting one. Limited hopes for Ryan at this stage after a few lost years, but he's still young enough to make it if he can get a run of games at a decent level.

I want to make it to the Bundesliga.
Has left SC Freiburg to sign for 3.Liga side SV Wehen Wiesbaden. Same division that SC Freiburgs 2nd team play in.
