Croke Park :D

Too late, Ollie Byrne has earmarked Croker. :D

Seriously though, it's frightening to think what's going to happen to Rovers at this stage.

At this stage it is unlikely that they will survive examinership. It would be very difficult to make a case for it being a thriving business.

Though most Rovers fans seem to think that the only party with any money interested in taking the club over pulling out was a good thing, so it is unlikely that they will agree with the above.

Some optimisim here would be much appreciated lads!!! its not official yet that we've been kicked out, only a rumor...
Besides, Santry is nearly ready anyway..

it seems most of the potential investors only want to get the stadium lease. It was suggest in the papers yesterday that no one wants to pay €2.5million for just the name of Shamrock Rovers. it sounds as if the fans are being misled.

If it does happen, Is Santry in a position to get a "premier div license"?

Slash/ED

If the RSC is, why not? Anyway afaik you can get a ground liecense based on conrete plans to get something upto standard, the big pile of rubble out in Tallaght would be more than enough for them.

ill tell you why. In the RSC the "jump" areas are outside the running track. The jump areas at santry are inside it which means a tighter pitch by upto 10m. These jump areas make for dangerous hard surfaces near to a playing pitch. Its why there are no rugby games being played at running tracks cos they cant get insurance in case someone hops off anything. Just making that point!

Hasn't the pitch in Santry recently been widened though? That could compensate for that

Bohs will decide whether sham money is still good in Dalymount.
In the meantime, pipe down and make sure the rent is paid on time. ;)

The field in Tallaght is ready, the stands aren't. They can still play with closed doors :)

IF it would be true, the only Dublin club with whom they haven't groundshared yet would be... UCD  Watch out, Belfield :D

UCD are not permitted to rent out their grounds due to certain college regulations, so that's a non-runner. Santry does meet Licencing requirements but we are not permitted to make a move out there just yet, not until the Examinership process is completed anyway.
