Like I already said, I figure this is a good move for City. Through my involvement with the supporters club, I have had occasion to talk to the guy on quite a few occasions. I have found him to be approachable and a lot more open, pleasant and courteous than other board members. This is a guy who is a city fan, make no mistake. Whether he gets it right or not, my gut instinct tells me he is a footballing man who has the future development of Cork City at heart. His stated ambition in that article for youth development and for city to challenge the dublin clubs mirrors what he has said to me on more than one occasion. This is a guy who HAS turned up to supporters club meetings in the past, and who DOES take the time to acknowledge and speak to his counterparts in the Supporters Club when he meets them.

A good day for City IMO.

He is definitely the most approachable of them all, he seems honest and upfront. And he has my vote anyway, ..... good move if everyone can see the wood from the trees.

Its about time, it seemed like sebuteo for a will the big boys with their football team.

I think Murphy will be given a chance Lennox is no fool, maybe Murphy knew about it although that I doubt, 'cause he'd of told the echo.

I'd have to agree with all that is said above.

He might not be so happy with Gunther as the rest the Board.

When Ruraí interviewed him recently he was critical of the team.

Also Dalo I found during my exile that a good potato pie substitute is a spice burger, but it's like bringing on Hartigol for Morley, no replacement

Sounds like what we all asking for for a couple of years now.

Lennox seem to talk a good game but suppose time will tell if he can deliver.

Am I correct in assuming that Brian Lennox will be the sole owner of the club (i.e. no other Directors) ?

I think as a club & a city thers been a need for a leader for a few years. All it takes for for Brian Lennox to lead now & we can easily become the biggest club in the country.

The Murphy matter is for another day.

that isn't necessarily a good thing, but hopefully it could lead to the shake-up we have all been screaming for!

didn't the article say he was taking over at the end of the current season. give him until then at least! he probably has some sounding out and checking out to do before he says anything further.

I dont think he does fish pies :)
And its on Bandon Road :)

Seriously though the guy is a good man......and he is well known in Cork, which might be good to get other investors on board.....

Hopefully he'll have the balls to start a clearout of the coaching staff.....
