Just reading through, sounds like a good idea, especially given that you can adjust the monthly amount. I need to look into a few other options on offer over here, other than the ISA. HAte dealing with money - too much hassle

I have an isa, and i looked into the bonds/assurance schemes when i worked for a friendly society. Need to contact the bank and see whats out there, and see what other options are available.

They only came about because McCreevy did a give away budget ahead of the election (nicely timed term so the payouts before the next one). European Bank bóllocked him for giving away too much to the rich, so this was the way to get the cash out of the economy.

Basically the money could have gone on upping tax thresholds and brackets. The way it was done is basically another FF bribe....

btw I have one, as you'd be stupid not to take free money when offered, but doesn't mean I'll be voting for them fookers, ever....

Central Bank figures also showed that the amount of money held in Special Savings Incentive Accounts up until May of this year is €5.6bn
What the hell is that going to do to inflation when people start drawing it out! :(

Not McCreevy's problem as he's gone.

FF won't care if it get's them elected. Which it probably will, then when the inflation bites we'll have cúnts going on about "never voting for them again", again.

Yep, mine should be ready for the World Cup too.
Only bad thing is I was in college when I started so was putting in the min
amount for a while, then after a year or so of proper saving I went to Australia
for a year and cut down to the min again while I was there. Only increased the
amount when I came back and started working in Ireland.
