Athlone Town 3-0 Mullingar

Great 1st half display from Athlone saw them notch up 3 goals through Michael Harney, Stephen Mullan and Damien Rushe.
Could have been 6, with Robbie Shine hitting the crossbar abd very close efforts from Damien Rushe and Gary Byrne.

We Are Top Of The League :D

C'Mon De Town - at least one of out teams knows how to win!

and Cork City beat Cobh Ramblers 4-2

First half goals from Steve O'Flynn and Paddy Crowley put City 2-0 up at the break, but within five minutes of the restart Cobh had drawn level. A 40 yard effort from Micheal Mulconroy put City back in front, before O'Flynn grabbed a second to complete the scoring.

Cork City: Mark McNulty, Alan Carey, Killian Lordan, Pat Crowley, Shane Roddis, John Caulfield (Greg Yelverton), Anthony Buckley, Steve Daly, Micheal Mulconroy, Steve O'Flynn, David Welch.

On Saturday David Welch helped himself to five goals as City beat UL 7-1 at Bishopstown.

Two strikers hit 7 goals in two games.
Surely this warrants a run for one or both of them on Sunday against MonU.

Surely.......

Was Dave Hill at the match last night? I presume our esteemed Gunther wasn't there?

You should play your u-21s as your first team and you might actually avoid finishing bottom! ;)

anyone know the line-up & scorers for Ramblers?

unfortunately i missed the two ramblers goals and don't know most of the team, but Slattery was in goal, Hastings and Wilshaw were playing in defence, Terry White left wing and up front Ross O'Callaghan and Kieran O'Reilly who got sent-off. Brendan Sweeney and Anthony Wolfe came on as subs.

Aye, we should play our Under 21 team, sure in the mid season friendly they beat Galways 1st team off the park :)

Looks like Bucko is signing a new 2 year contract

Looking forward to re-election 2 years in a row
