Starts today with all 20 clubs involved. Groups of 5, and one match a week for the next five weeks. Website is here (https://www.eloi.ie/), although I don't see if any of the games are being streamed.
Never got into FIFA, and the idea of watching people play computer games always struck me as a bit weird, but still, this is a decent initiative and hopefully it'll be a success.

Actually, some results are coming through -
Sligo 5-4 Wexford
Dundalk 9-1 Treaty
Derry 4-7 Cork
Cabo 4-3 Galway

Former Town player Rhys Gorman is representing LTFC. Says he's no longer interested in playing actual LOI for the level of club that would be interested in him. The commitment isn't worth it to him.

Shamrock Rovers' player is a pro per their website. Explains why they've humped UCD 8-2. I'd have thought students would be great at this lark :)

I thought this was a discussion about HG Wells, disappointed to see that it is about Atari games or something.

Is there any advantage to winning this or is it just 20 people playing a bit of Fifa? What clubs do the div 1 teams play as as they aren't in the game

I think i read somewhere it feeds into a european league and there is prize money for that split between player and club

Think I remember reading that they play as the Ireland international side. The standard of real life teams doesn’t make a difference as the player ratings are all levelled off to be the same for this tournament I think

Dundalk beat Athlone 11-0 today.
Had a little chuckle at that, I must admit :)

Rovers should be alright against Harps, couple of penos to smooth things over
Bohs v sligo im calling for Bohs as the sligo lads have to get the hay in but the dole just keeps coming for bohs.
UCD studying for summer exams so Dundalk to stroll it.
Drogs cork hard to call , i'm going for Cork due to FIFA coefficient ranking
