Don't know if many people know this but next Friday night will be a sad night in one sense for me as it will be the last time Digger will play at The Cross, as this is his last season, I believe.

I've heard that he has asked City to be the opposition for his testimonial, being organised by Longford.

This guy is one of the true characters of our League and a gentleman as well.

I always felt he was a closet City fan and his antics in front of the Shed and the way he responds to us is nothing short of brilliant.

FOOTNOTE: Digger, hope you have a stinker on Friday, but I for one will applaud you off the park at the end.

Yeah, its true, this will be Digger's last game in Cork unless we draw ye in the cup. I bet ya he'll make save after save after save just to annoy ye :D

Thats a pity. He's a crowd pleaser and an excellent goalie to boot. :)

i really do wonder about some people on this sight!!ye are quick to jump on the back of people like doyler and ollie who gave us so much enjoyment and even players like fenn who are still here and givin there all for the cause...but we gota listen to this cr.ap about applauding 'Digger'..personally thats the longfords fans job!!all i want is for us to batter them 5-0..end of story..im a city fan at the end of the day

Eh, hello where did this come from? I have never had a go at Doyler - he was class and I applauded him off the park at the Harps game. He will always be welcome back in my books.

Conor O'Grady - same for him. The way he conducted himself after scoring against us, into the Shed, last season was very professional and dignified.

I am also a big fan of Fenn. In fact I seldom have a pop at our own players.

Cahill, on the other hand, is a different kettle of fish. He burnt his bridges even before he left us critisising City fans - and compare his goal celebrations to O'Grady's, the day he scored for $hel$ at the Cross a few years ago......'nuff said.

When it comes to dedicated City fans I would like to think of myself as being up there with the best of them (anyone on here who knows me will vouch for that - where are you Corner when I need you :D ) so please don't question my loyalty to the Club.
I, also, would like nothing better than to "batter them 5-0". I will be giving Digger and the rest of his team mates hell next Friday............but do you know something, I will also applaud him off the pitch at the end because of who he is .......

.......an entertainer who has always treated us with respect and therefore deserves the same back from us, on this his last night at the best Club in the country

I personally will miss him and his antics.

its called respect, sportsmanship and being mature enough to stand up and acknowledge whats good about the game.

i'm sure nobody on here doubts your allegience to city but at the same time don't deny them(your fellow city fans) the right to say goodbye to truely one of the greats who will never be forgotten by e/l fans countrywide :)

Digger is a great player and an absolute gent. There have been times when he entertained us city fans when our own team was failing miserably to do so :D He deserves a great send off

No doubt he will entertain them from the bench.
